JOB OVERVIEW

We are Pilot Practice (KloudMD) — a US company that builds software and marketing systems for medical practices (med spas, dentists, plastic surgeons, therapists).

This is a WRITING and EDITING job. You will own the words on our clients' websites: blog posts, service pages, homepages, landing pages. You are not a VA, not a designer, not a social-media poster. If you do not genuinely enjoy reading and writing in English, this is not your seat.

WHO WE NEED
Someone smart, fluent in English, who reads for pleasure and writes clearly without being told twice.

Most of the first draft is generated by our AI tools. Your job is to be the human who makes it good: cut the fluff, fix what is wrong or generic, make it sound like the specific doctor's office it belongs to, and make sure nothing goes live that would embarrass the client. You will also write from scratch when the AI draft is not usable.

You need taste. You should be able to read two paragraphs about "Botox in Scottsdale" and tell us in one sentence why one is better than the other.

WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO
- Edit AI-drafted blog posts and service pages in our content editor before they publish. Grammar, flow, accuracy, tone, and "does this actually say anything."
- Write blogs and service pages from a brief (target keyword, the practice's real facts, what already ranks on Google). No filler, no made-up claims, no "in today's fast-paced world."
- Review new pages visually before they go ---------- headline reads right, sections make sense, calls to action say the right thing, nothing looks broken on mobile.
- Work the change queue: clients and our team leave comments on live pages ("change this sentence", "this photo is wrong"). You make the edit or answer the question, and close the loop.
- Keep each client's voice consistent across their site. A plastic surgeon and a family therapist do not sound the same.
- Flag medical or legal landmines: guaranteed results, before/after claims without disclaimers, fake urgency, anything a US medical board would not like.
- Send drafts to clients for approval and chase the approval politely until it is done.

MUST HAVE
- Fluent, natural written English. Not "good enough." A US doctor should not be able to tell the page was not written in the US.
- You like reading and writing. Tell us what you read last month (books, long articles, anything). We will ask.
- You can edit ruthlessly. Cutting 40% of a draft and making it better is normal work for you.
- You catch details: a wrong phone number, a service the practice does not offer, a heading that promises something the page never delivers.
- Comfortable in WordPress at the level of editing a page and swapping an image. We have tools for the hard parts.
- Overlap with Arizona, USA (MST): at least 4 hours between 8am and 5pm Arizona time. 40 hours/week.
- Camera-on video interview and a short live editing test on a shared screen.

NICE TO HAVE
- SEO writing experience: search intent, headings, meta titles, internal links.
- Healthcare, medical, dental, or med-spa content.
- Experience editing AI output rather than pretending it does not exist.
- Basic understanding of what makes a landing page convert.

PAY
$600 USD/month. Full time, 40 hours/week. Paid 4-hour trial task before any long-term offer. Paid on time, every month, via your preferred method.

HOW WE THINK — A REAL EXAMPLE (READ THIS)
An AI draft for a dermatology client opened with: "In today's fast-paced world, healthy skin is more important than ever. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to providing top-notch care."

That paragraph says nothing. It could be on any website on earth. A good editor deletes it and replaces it with the one thing that practice actually does differently — in this case, the doctor sees every patient herself and does not hand you to a nurse for injectables. That is the sentence that gets a booking.

If that example made you nod, apply. If you think the original paragraph was fine, please do not.

HOW TO APPLY (follow this exactly — we use it to filter)
1. Start your application with the word "LAVENDER" so we know you read the whole post.
2. Rewrite the bad dermatology paragraph above in your own words, 2 to 3 sentences, for a practice where the differentiator is same-week appointments.
3. In 100 to 150 words, tell us about something you read recently and why it stuck with you. Your own words. Do not use AI for this — we will talk about it on the call and it will be obvious.
4. Your available hours in Arizona time.
5. Links to 2 or 3 things you have written or edited, if you have them. If you do not, say so; item 2 and 3 matter more.

Applications that skip step 1 or paste a generic cover letter are not read. We hire the person who can make a page better on a shared screen, not the person with the fanciest resume.
