AEK Media is a fast-growing digital marketing and web agency working with e-commerce brands and enterprise clients. We build and manage high-quality websites across WordPress, Shopify, and other platforms.

We are looking for a highly organised Virtual Assistant to support our Lead Project Manager in coordinating projects and maintaining quality standards across our web builds.

This is a long-term role with growth opportunities for the right person.

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will work directly under our Lead Project Manager and act as a key support person across active web projects. Your role is to help keep projects running smoothly and ensure every website we deliver meets our quality standards.

This is not a purely administrative role. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable reviewing websites and spotting issues before they reach clients.

You will report to the Lead Project Manager and assist with coordination, tracking, and quality control across multiple projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Lead Project Manager in coordinating web projects across WordPress, Shopify, and other platforms
• Track tasks, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools
• Perform detailed quality assurance checks on websites before launch
• Review pages for layout issues, responsiveness, broken links, and functionality
• Test websites across devices and browsers
• Document bugs and feedback clearly for developers
• Follow up with tea ---------- mbers to keep projects on schedule
• Prepare simple reports and status updates for the Lead Project Manager
• Maintain organised documentation and checklists

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience working with WordPress and/or Shopify (basic familiarity required)
• Ability to test websites and identify issues independently
• Clear written English communication
• Comfortable using tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and MS Office
• Reliable internet connection and consistent availability
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

BONUS (NOT REQUIRED BUT HELPFUL)
• Previous experience in a digital agency
• Basic understanding of web design principles
• Familiarity with SEO or website optimisation
• Experience with QA testing processes

WORKING HOURS

Full-time preferred. Some overlap with Australian business hours is required.
