We are looking for an experienced Web Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation and
delivery of our web department.
This is a hands-on role combining team leadership, project management, technical oversight
and problem solving. The Web Manager will be responsible for keeping projects and live
website work moving, supporting the team, maintaining quality standards and making sound
decisions when priorities change.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage the web team and oversee day-to-day workloads, priorities and deadlines.
● Coordinate new website projects from scoping and design through development, QA,
launch and handover.
● Manage a large portfolio of live client websites, including ongoing edits, enhancements,
troubleshooting, integrations and technical improvements.
● Coordinate website campaigns, promotional landing pages and other digital campaign
requirements.
● Oversee EDM production and delivery, including coordinating content, design, build,
testing and deployment.
● Work closely with developers, designers, content managers, account managers and
other internal teams.
● Review technical requirements, identify potential issues and guide the team towards
practical solutions.
● Maintain visibility across active work and ensure projects, support requests and
campaign deadlines continue progressing.
● Manage website launches, migrations, staging environments, hosting, domains, DNS,
SSL, redirects and related technical requirements.
● Review websites for quality, responsiveness, browser compatibility, usability and
consistency.
● Support client and internal escalations where technical or project input is required.
● Scope development and enhancement work, identify dependencies and assist with
estimating effort and timelines.
● Improve internal workflows, documentation, processes and quality standards.
● Assist directly with website updates, troubleshooting and technical tasks where required.
● Ensure websites follow appropriate performance, security, SEO, AEO and analytics best
practices.
Skills & Experience
A strong understanding of:
● WordPress and the general WordPress ecosystem
● Shopify, Squarespace and Wix
● Elementor, Divi, custom page builders and other commonly used page builders
● E-commerce websites and online purchasing journeys
● HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP concepts
● APIs and third-party integrations
● Hosting, DNS, caching, SSL and website infrastructure
● Website performance and optimisation
● SEO, AEO and web analytics
● Responsive design and cross-browser testing
● Website troubleshooting and debugging

Hands-on development experience is beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate
should be technically confident enough to understand development requirements, communicate
effectively with developers and investigate issues when required.

Strong time management and prioritisation are essential. They should be able to assess
situations quickly, make sensible decisions, communicate clearly and keep work moving when
requirements or priorities change.

comfortable managing a team, reviewing a project, handling live website work, coordinating
campaigns or jumping into a website to solve a problem
