Position Overview

We are seeking a Website Developer to build, rebuild, and maintain websites for ---------- , our portal network, and client sites. You will take a client's vision and turn it into a working, fast, well-structured website, whether that means building from scratch or improving what already exists. This is a hands-on execution role, and you will own both the build and the ongoing technical health of the sites you touch.

Required Qualifications

1. 4 or more years of hands-on website development experience, with WordPress as your primary platform
2. Proven ability to build complete websites from scratch, as well as redesign, restructure, and improve existing sites
3. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, including custom theme and plugin work
4. Experience with page builders and theme frameworks commonly used in WordPress projects (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, or similar)
5. Comfortable working on platforms outside WordPress (Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, or custom builds)
6. Strong design sensibility, with the ability to translate a mockup, brand guide, or loose brief into a clean, responsive layout
7. Technical performance expertise, including page speed optimization, Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimization, and mobile responsiveness
8. Practical understanding of on-page and technical SEO, including site structure, URL architecture, schema markup, sitemaps, canonicals, redirects, and internal linking
9. Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, PageSpeed Insights, and at least one SEO platform such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or SE Ranking
10. Experience handling hosting, DNS, migrations, SSL, backups, and general site security
11. Experience building websites for US-based businesses
12. Experience across multiple industries, with law firms, accounting firms, or other professional services a strong plus
Strong written communication skills
13. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sites and deadlines simultaneously

Compensation & Benefits Package

Salary: $800 - $1100
US Paid Holidays
Paid Time Off: 10 days annually
