About Us
Foxhound Bee Company is a beekeeping supply and lifestyle brand — honey, protective suits, candles, beekeeping smokers, and beekeeping equipment — selling direct to hobbyists and everyday customers through Shopify and Amazon. We run several e-commerce brands out of one small, fast-moving team split between our U.S. warehouse/retail staff and a remote crew based in the Philippines.
We lean hard on AI tools like Claude to move fast without a big headcount, so if that's not your thing, this role won't be either. We love using AI when it helps, but if you won't verify what AI produces before it goes live, you're not the right fit. We're growing, we move quickly, and we want someone who can keep pace.
What You'll Do:
-Website & Shopify Tasks
-Manage and update our Shopify websites
-Build and update basic pages (About Us, Contact, landing pages)
-Add and manage images, CTAs, graphics, and logos across the site
-Check the public-facing site for compatibility and correct display on both desktop and mobile
-Troubleshoot website issues in Shopify or Bluehost
-Optimize website speed and images using best practices
-Implement basic SEO improvements
-Integrate apps and third-party tools as needed; verify apps are working correctly and not causing conflicts or slowdowns
-Regularly audit installed apps and remove ones that are unused or adding unnecessary bloat
-Monitor website performance using Google Analytics
-General Tasks
-Run regular backups of Shopify websites
-Help troubleshoot technical issues as they come up
-Support new projects and websites alongside our team
-Work as part of the team — participate, collaborate, and communicate clearly, especially if something falls behind schedule
Requirements:
-At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify
-Strong understanding of how e-commerce websites work
-Basic knowledge of SEO and website optimization
-Strong eye for detail — consistent design across pages, working apps, fast load times
-Comfortable and experienced using AI tools (especially Claude) as part of your daily workflow — this isn't optional; it's core to how we work — but you must verify AI output before it ships, not just trust it
-Good written communication skills (most of our collaboration is async)
-Reliable internet connection
-Able to work flexible, part-time hours week to week
-Demonstrated ability to understand and apply the latest trends
Preferred:
-Experience with Shopify Plus
-Knowledge of Shopify Liquid
-Experience supporting more than one brand/site at a time
