About Hakkawise
Hakkawise is a multi-brand consumer goods group. Our brands run Shopify storefronts loved by our customers around the world – here we we own the customer relationship, build loyalty, and grow recurring revenue. This role owns how those sites look, feel, and perform.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced, ecommerce-native Web Designer to design and build high-performing Shopify storefronts across our brand portfolio. You'll turn brand identity into conversion-focused sites, implement the functionality that drives sales, and set up and maintain the subscription tools that power our recurring revenue. This is a hands-on role that blends design, ecommerce know-how, and technical fluency — with direct, visible impact on the top line.
What You'll Do
• Design and build Shopify storefronts: across our brands, translating brand identity into clean, conversion-focused ecommerce experiences.
• Implement ecommerce functionality: product pages, collections, checkout flows, upsells and cross-sells, promotions, and other features that drive sales and average order value.
• Set up and maintain subscription tools: configuring and managing customer subscription apps (e.g. Recharge, Loop, Skio) to grow and retain recurring revenue.
• Optimise for conversion and performance: improving page speed, mobile experience, and user journeys, informed by data and testing.
• Maintain and update live sites: managing changes, QA, and troubleshooting so storefronts stay fast, accurate, and on-brand.
• Work closely with marketing and brand teams: turning campaigns, launches, and promotions into effective on-site experiences.
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience designing and building Shopify ecommerce websites — ideally more than one live store.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce and the functionality a modern storefront needs (checkout, upsells, promotions, conversion drivers).
• Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining customer subscription tools (Recharge, Loop, Skio, or similar).
• Solid design skills and eye for detail — comfortable working in Figma and translating brand guidelines into polished, on-brand pages.
• Working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, and CSS (JavaScript a plus) to customise themes and functionality.
• Organised and self-directed, able to manage multiple brands and priorities without dropping quality.
Nice to Have
• Experience across multiple D2C brands or a multi-store setup.
• Familiarity with the wider Shopify app ecosystem - reviews, loyalty, and
• Basic design-for-brand or motion/graphic assets a bonus.
