ABOUT US

My Australian businesses have been operating for about 20 years. We are rebuilding our web presence and growing our social media and are looking for someone who can own this work end to end — not just maintain what exists, but build something great from the ground up.


WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

This is not a content-update role. We are not looking for someone to swap images and edit text on an existing site. We need someone who has built WordPress websites from scratch — chosen themes, configured plugins, structured pages, set up hosting environments, and delivered a finished, professional result.

If your WordPress experience is mostly logging in and updating posts, this role is not the right fit.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Core skills (required)

- Build WordPress sites from scratch — theme selection, child themes, page structure, navigation
- Page builders — Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, or similar
- Plugin selection, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Hosting setup — domain connection, DNS basics, SSL, cPanel or equivalent
- On-page SEO — meta titles, descriptions, headings, image alt text, site speed basics
- Google Analytics and/or Search Console setup and reading reports
- Social media content creation and scheduling — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Writing clear captions and basic copywriting for posts
- Consistent posting schedules and engagement monitoring
- Strong attention to detail — spacing, alignment, fonts, and brand consistency matter
- Good written English for copy, captions, and communication

Desirable skills (welcomed but not essential)

- DaVinci Resolve video editing — cuts, captions, colour grading
- Canva or Adobe Express for graphics and social media assets
- Google Ads or Meta Ads — setup and basic campaign management
- Email marketing tools — Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar
- WooCommerce or basic e-commerce setup
- AI tools for content drafting, image generation, or automation
