JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are seeking a Virtual Medical Scribe to assist an ophthalmology clinic with real-time clinical documentation during patient visits. The scribe will listen to encounters through a secure audio connection and document the visit directly in the electronic medical record via remote desktop.

Responsibilities:
- Document patient visits in real time during clinic hours
- Record HPI, exam findings, assessment, and plan in the EMR
- Maintain accurate and organized medical documentation
- Assist the physician in keeping charts updated throughout the day
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Qualifications
- Strong typing speed (70+ WPM preferred)
- Excellent listening and attention to detail
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace

Preferred:
- Prior medical scribe experience
- Experience with ophthalmology or medical documentation

Schedule
- Clinic hours are Monday–Friday during Pacific Time business hours.

Requirements
- Computer capable of running remote desktop software
- High-speed internet connection
- Headset and quiet work environment
