I’m looking for a reliable, organized virtual assistant to help coordinate video editors, review social media content, and handle general admin tasks.
**You don’t need video editing skills.** You do need a good eye for social media content, strong attention to detail, and the ability to keep work moving without constant reminders.
Your main responsibility will be managing the process between a video brief being ready and the finished video being approved.
### What you’ll do
**Coordinate video editors**
- Send editors clear briefs, footage, reference videos, and deadlines.
- Make sure they have everything they need before starting.
- Track assignments, follow up on progress, and flag delays early.
- Collect submissions and manage revision rounds.
**Review videos and give useful feedback**
- Check each submission against the brief and make sure nothing has been missed.
- Use your judgment to spot things that weaken the video: poor footage choices, awkward pacing, hard-to-read text, distracting transitions, or music that doesn’t fit.
- Check practical details such as spelling, captions, text placement, and formatting.
- Give clear, specific feedback that editors can act on—for example, “The text disappears too quickly at 0:06; please leave it on screen longer.”
- Check revised versions to confirm the requested changes have been made.
**Keep everything organized**
- Keep footage, briefs, submissions, and approved videos in the correct folders.
- Make sure files are named correctly and the latest versions are easy to find.
- Maintain an accurate tracker of assignments, deadlines, revisions, and approvals.
- Track editor invoices and payment status, and prepare payment details for my approval.
**Help with general VA tasks**
- Assist with research, data entry, document updates, scheduling, and other day-to-day admin as needed.
- Turn recurring tasks into simple checklists so the process stays consistent.
### You’ll be a good fit if you:
- Have experience as a VA, administrative assistant, project coordinator, or in a similar role.
- Are dependable, organized, and good at following through.
- Watch social media content regularly and can explain why a video feels engaging, confusing, polished, or poorly put together.
- Can follow a brief while also noticing things the brief hasn’t explicitly mentioned.
- Communicate clearly in written English and give constructive feedback.
- Ask questions when something is unclear and raise problems before they become urgent.
- Are comfortable using shared folders, spreadsheets, and task management tools.
Experience coordinating freelancers or reviewing social media content is a bonus. Video editing and graphic design skills are not required.
