JOB OVERVIEW

We are a small, family-run residential construction business seeking an experienced Virtual Assistant Estimator to support our team in preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates using Wunderbuild. This role is ideal for someone who understands residential construction, has a sharp eye for detail, and can confidently work within estimating software.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed construction estimates and cost plans in Wunderbuild
* Interpret plans, specifications, and engineering documents
* Build and maintain estimate templates, cost libraries, and take-offs
* Review and update pricing based on supplier and subcontractor inputs
* Identify cost risks, omissions, and opportunities for value management
* Assist with variations, revisions, and estimate updates as projects evolve
* Ensure all estimates are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project scope

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
* Strong proficiency in Wunderbuild (essential)
* Solid understanding of residential construction methods and costs
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written communication

Nice to Have:
* Experience in Australian residential construction
* Familiarity with prefab/modular construction methods
* Experience with Australian supplier pricing and subcontractor coordination
* Knowledge of Xero or other construction-related software
