JOB OVERVIEW

Summary
We run several YouTube channels and hire freelancers constantly — editors, scriptwriters, researchers, voiceover artists. Right now that hiring runs through me, and it's the bottleneck. I need someone to own it.

What you'd do:
- Find candidates on Upwork, Twitter, ---------- , Fiverr, and job boards, and reach out to them
- Reply to applicants, answer their questions about the role, rates, and process
- Walk accepted candidates through our pipeline — what to do, when, and where to send it
- Collect work samples and do a first-pass review: does this meet the basic bar, yes or no? You don't make the final call, you filter out the obvious no's so I only look at real candidates
- Keep an organized database of everyone we've talked to — role, rate, samples, status, notes. So when we need an editor in three months, we're not starting from zero
- Follow up with people who go quiet

Who this suits:
Someone organized and genuinely responsive. Most of this job is not letting things sit — unanswered messages, half-onboarded freelancers, samples nobody reviewed. If you're the kind of person who closes loops without being chased, you'll do well.

Requirements:
Strong written English — you're the first impression of our operation
Comfortable messaging strangers all day without it feeling awkward
Reliable daily availability during a predictable window, so candidates get answers within hours, not days
Basic eye for video quality (we'll train you on what to look for — you don't need to be an editor)
Comfortable with spreadsheets and/or automation tools.

Previous recruiting, VA, or community management experience is a plus. Experience in the YouTube/content world is a bigger plus. But essentially, we're looking for someone well-organized and reliable, we can teach you all the rest.

Terms: Monthly retainer for a set number of freelancers reached. Long-term role, not a one-off project.

To apply:
Tell us how you'd handle this: a freelancer sends a sample that's decent but not great, then asks for double the rate we posted. What do you do? How do you answer? Also mention your timezone and daily availability window.
