Virtual Assistant – Business Acquisition Research

We are seeking an experienced Virtual Assistant / Business Acquisition Researcher to assist with identifying and evaluating businesses available for acquisition.

This is not a basic VA or data-entry position. The ideal candidate has previous experience assisting entrepreneurs, investors, business brokers, or acquisition professionals with business-for-sale research, deal sourcing, or acquisition searches.

Primary Responsibilities

Source new businesses for sale every day based on specific acquisition criteria.
Search business-for-sale marketplaces, broker websites, direct-owner opportunities, and other relevant sources.
Pre-screen and vet each opportunity before presenting it.
Review asking price, revenue, cash flow/SDE/EBITDA, location, industry, years in business, and other available financial information.
Identify potential red flags or reasons an opportunity does not meet our criteria.
Provide direct links and organized information for every qualified opportunity.
Maintain an organized acquisition pipeline and prevent duplicate submissions.
Conduct additional research on promising businesses, sellers, and markets when requested.
Prioritize quality and relevance over sending a large number of random listings.

Required Experience

Previous experience with business acquisitions, M&A research, business brokerage, deal sourcing, or searching for businesses for sale.
Strong online research and due-diligence skills.
Ability to understand basic business financial metrics such as revenue, profit, SDE, EBITDA, asking price, and valuation multiples.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and consistently deliver qualified opportunities.

Simply copying listings from BizBuySell or similar websites without reviewing whether they meet our criteria will not be considered satisfactory work.
