JOB OVERVIEW

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, highly organized virtual accountant and bookkeeper to manage day to day accounting for a growing US based company. You will work directly with leadership and the finance team to keep the books accurate, current, and ready for reporting. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean records, catches the small details, and works independently with US based teams.

Responsibilities

Reconcile company credit card accounts monthly
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
Set up payroll for new employees and support payroll processing
Enter customer invoices and record incoming payments
Enter vendor bills, schedule and process bill payments
Track, categorize, and code expenses accurately
Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and AR/AP aging
Maintain organized records and supporting documentation for every transaction
Assist with month end close and respond to requests from the CPA

Requirements

Strong, hands on experience with QuickBooks Desktop (required)
Solid working knowledge of US GAAP
Prior experience working for US based companies (required)
Proven experience with credit card reconciliations, journal entries, AP, AR, and payroll setup
Highly organized and detail oriented, with a strong sense of accuracy and accountability
Clear written and verbal English communication
Reliable internet connection and ability to work overlapping hours with US Central Time

Preferred

Experience in real estate, construction, or property management accounting
Familiarity with multi entity bookkeeping
Degree in accounting or finance, or a bookkeeping certification (such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor)
