JOB OVERVIEW

Role
We're looking for a passionate and motivated Video Editor who lives and breathes social media. You'll be crafting content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok — editing clips, adding graphics, and shaping stories that grab attention and keep people watching.

This role blends strategy with creativity. You know how to pace a video, structure it for retention, match music to mood, and add graphics that enhance — not clutter. You check what is working on the feed before anyone assigns it. You've done this at a high level before and can point to measurable growth from your past work.

Responsibilities
- Edit 15-20 short-form videos or 2-4 long-form videos per week
- Create a hook in the first 2 seconds to maximize view rate and retention
- Turn boring product or talking-head footage into something people finish
- Track performance and refine based on retention data
- Monitor comments across platforms to spot insights and improve edits
- Stay on top of U.S.-based cultural and platform trends

Requirements
- Deep understanding of social platforms - storytelling, pacing, strategy
- Must have experience with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
- Versatility across formats (talking head, vlog, product, UGC)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with color grading and basic sound correction
- Proven track record of success editing for growing YouTube/Instagram channels
- Speed and clarity in communication (primarily via WhatsApp)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- 2-3 years of content creation/editing experience
- Reliable internet and ability to work on New York time or Asia time
