JOB OVERVIEW

Overview

I am building a growing YouTube channel focused on professional, educational, and lifestyle content. I am looking for a reliable, detail-oriented video editor who can deliver high-quality edits consistently and communicate clearly in English. This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.

Responsibilities

Edit talking-head YouTube videos (2-3 minutes typical length)

Cut mistakes, pauses, and dead space to improve pacing and retention

Add:

Text overlays and captions

B-roll or stock footage when appropriate

Basic motion graphics (zoom, pan, transitions)

Background music and sound leveling

Color correct and improve audio quality

Format videos for YouTube (1080p, proper aspect ratio, optimized export)

Deliver files on schedule (typically 5-7 videos per week)

Style Goals

Clean, professional editing

Strong viewer retention (engaging pacing)

Modern YouTube style (subtle zooms, text highlights, smooth cuts)

Business / educational / travel tone (not overly flashy)

Requirements

Strong written and spoken English

Experience editing for YouTube (please provide channel links)

Proficiency in one or more:

Adobe Premiere Pro

Final Cut Pro

DaVinci Resolve

Reliable internet and ability to communicate via WhatsApp, Slack, or email

Ability to meet deadlines consistently

Project Details

Video length: 2-3 minutes

Frequency: 20-25 shorts + 2-5 anchor videos per month

Turnaround time: 24 hours per short and 48 - 72 hours per anchor

Budget: I am willing to hire the right person on a consistent monthly salary of $360, AND monthly bonuses as follows: $10 per video if retention greater than 50%, $50 per month reliability bonus, $100 for first 5,000 subscribers, $100 for any video reaches 100K views.
