# Podcast & Short-Form Video Editor (Story-Driven)

## About the Role

We're looking for an editor with a storyteller's instinct — someone who can take hours of raw footage, transcripts, or a list of rough timestamps and *find the ---------- nts that matter*. This isn't about mechanically trimming silence and slapping on captions. We want someone who watches for the laugh, the tension, the turn of phrase that makes a clip worth sharing — and then edits with pacing, motion, and sound design to bring that ---------- nt to life.

You'll handle full-length podcast episodes end-to-end, then mine that same raw footage for short-form clips that actually stop the scroll. If you love finding the story hiding inside unedited footage as much as you love a clean audio mix, this is for you.

## Responsibilities

- **Find the story first**: review raw footage, transcripts, or timestamp notes to identify the strongest ---------- nts — compelling soundbites, emotional beats, funny exchanges, quotable lines — before cutting
- Edit full-length podcast episodes: cutting, pacing, noise reduction, and audio mixing
- Cut short-form content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) from long-form episodes that feels alive, not just trimmed — with editing choices, sound, and motion that add energy
- Create motion graphics (lower thirds, titles, transitions, animated text, dynamic captions) that enhance the story rather than decorate it
- Color grade video footage for a consistent, professional look
- Maintain consistent branding and visual style across all video output
- Collaborate with the team on creative direction, format ideas, and turnaround timelines

## Requirements

- Proven experience editing podcasts (audio and/or video)
- A strong eye for narrative — able to spot the best ---------- nt in raw, unstructured footage without being told exactly where to look
- Strong motion graphics skills (titles, animated lower thirds, kinetic typography, etc.)
- Proficiency in color grading
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (required)
- Experience editing short-form, vertical video content for social platforms
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling for both audio and video
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently

## Nice to Have

- Experience with After Effects for advanced motion graphics
- Familiarity with audio tools like Audacity, Adobe Audition, or iZotope RX
- A portfolio or demo reel showing a clear "before and after" — raw footage vs. finished clip — so we can see your eye for a ---------- nt, not just your technical skill
