JOB OVERVIEW

Real Estate Video & Reels Editor

I’m looking for an experienced **video editor who specializes in real estate media and short-form reels**.

I have a large ongoing real estate content series where I appear on camera discussing and ranking homes and properties I have worked on. There are currently **350+ homes/videos**, with more being added regularly.

What You’ll Be Editing

1. Real Estate Ranking Series

I will be creating a large series of short-form videos where I talk directly to the camera and give rankings/reviews of real estate homes I have photographed or filmed.

These videos need to be edited in a **high-energy, attention-grabbing style**, including:

* Captions/subtitles
* Fast-paced cuts and transitions
* Strong timing and pacing
* Removing unnecessary pauses and dead space
* Visual effects when appropriate
* Emphasis on important words or moments
* Editing that keeps the viewer engaged from beginning to end
* Clean, professional real estate presentation
* Following my exact editing instructions and style

There will be **353+ videos**, so I am looking for someone who can handle a large volume of content while maintaining consistent quality.

2. Real Estate Media Reels

I also regularly create real estate media reels.

For these, I will provide you with a **reference video** and expect you to recreate the editing style as closely as possible using the footage and resources available to you.

The goal is not simply to make something that looks "similar."

**I need you to replicate the reference video as closely as possible.**

That includes the:

* Pacing
* Cuts
* Transitions
* Text/captions
* Timing
* Effects
* Music/sound design
* Overall visual style
* Flow and structure

3. IMPORTANT — Editing Test

Before being hired, you will be given a video and specific instructions for an editing test.

**The test will be unpaid.**

This is intentional because I need to see whether you can actually execute the editing style and follow detailed instructions before committing to a long-term working relationship.

If you are not comfortable completing a free test edit, **please do not apply.**

4. Requirements

You **must**:

* Have experience editing real estate media
* Have strong short-form/Reels editing experience
* Understand modern social media pacing
* Be highly proficient with captions and fast-paced editing
* Be able to replicate a reference video accurately
* Follow detailed instructions without improvising when exact replication is requested
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Be fluent in English
* Be able to clearly understand what is being said in the videos
* Be able to communicate effectively in English
* Be comfortable handling a large volume of videos
* Consistently meet deadlines
* Have examples/portfolio work that demonstrates your abilities

6. Please Do NOT Apply If:

* You cannot follow exact editing instructions
* You cannot understand spoken English in the videos
* You are not fluent enough in English to understand the content and instructions
* You are unable to replicate a reference video
* You are not experienced with real estate media
* You are not comfortable completing the required unpaid test edit
* You only do basic cuts and captions and cannot create fast-paced, professional reels

7. Long-Term Opportunity

This is not a one-off project.

There are **353+ homes/videos in the initial series**, along with ongoing real estate media reels that I will need edited regularly.

If you can demonstrate that you understand my style, follow instructions accurately, and consistently produce high-quality work, there is the potential for **ongoing, long-term work with a significant amount of content.**
