We are looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to review and quality-check our YouTube videos before publishing. Videos typically range from 20 minutes to 3 hours, and your job will be to carefully compare the final edited video with the script to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
This is not video editing work — it is quality control. You’ll provide timestamped notes to our editors with clear instructions on what to fix, replace, or adjust. Each project will include up to 3 revision rounds, since our channel prioritizes high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Watch full-length videos with the script in hand.
• Check that every video clip matches the script (example: if the script says “Eiffel Tower second floor,” the video must show the second floor).
• Provide timestamped notes with clear directions on what to fix.
• Identify and flag issues such as:
• Wrong or irrelevant footage.
• Glitches, black screens, or abrupt transitions.
• Text misalignment, spelling errors, or missing formatting.
• Audio problems (background music too loud, choppy VO, etc.).
• Watermarks/logos in clips.
• Suggest what type of clip should replace an error (e.g., “needs drone footage of Zabriskie Point”). You will not be sourcing clips yourself — the content research team will handle that.
• Deliver a structured revision report in Google Docs or PDF format.
Requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
• Experience with YouTube content or video production.
• Comfortable with scripts and ensuring visual accuracy.
• Ability to write clear, timestamped revision notes.
• Proficient in Google Docs/Drive.
• Bonus: basic video editing knowledge (so you understand feasibility of edits).
Pay & Hours
• Hourly rate: $4–6/hour (depending on experience).
• Video length varies 20 minutes – 3 hours depending on topic, so project caps are:
• 100-version video: 16 hours max.
• 50-version video: 8 hours max.
• 25-version video: 4 hours max.
• 10-version video: 2 hours max.
• Each project includes up to 3 rounds of revisions.
• Payment is tracked hourly, but with a cap per project to keep budgets predictable.
What We Provide
• Full video script.
• Draft edited video.
• Clear templates for revision notes.
How to Apply
Please send:
1. A short cover letter explaining why you’re fit for this role.
2. Examples of past work where you’ve done video QC, script reviewing, or detailed revision notes (if available).
3. Your expected hourly rate within the $4–6/hr range.
