JOB OVERVIEW

We're a real estate photography and video business serving realtors in Charlottesville, Virginia. We shoot 2-3 properties most days and promise realtors a 24 hour turnaround on finished photos and videos. We're looking for a remote editor fluent in English to handle real estate video editing and light photo expediting/gallery delivery, working closely with our photographer and our Vietnam-based photo editing team.

This is a combined role — you'll be doing video editing for part of your shift, and light photo touch-up + gallery packaging + client delivery for the rest.
What You'll Do
Video Editing

Edit raw real estate video footage into polished listing videos
Produce videos formatted for both MLS listings and social media (e.g., Instagram/TikTok/Reels-ready cuts, in addition to standard listing walkthroughs)
Use Final Cut Pro as your primary editing tool

Photo Expediting

Receive photos already edited by our Vietnam-based photo editing team
Perform light Lightroom touch-ups — correcting color casts (e.g., removing orange/yellow tint from interior lighting) and final small adjustments before delivery
This is expediting, not full photo editing — the heavy lifting is already done by the time photos reach you

Gallery Creation & Delivery

Package finished photos and video into a client-ready gallery (we currently use a service like Picflow — happy to walk you through our exact tool once hired)
Send the finished gallery to realtor clients in a professional, polished manner
Schedule
Our workflow runs on a tight overnight turnaround (Charlottesville photographer ? Vietnam photo team ? you), so this role has two distinct working windows in a given shift, Philippines time:

Daytime (~7:00 AM PH time onward): Raw video footage becomes available for editing as soon as the photographer uploads it (around 6:00 PM EST the evening before). You can start video editing during this window.
Evening (~mostly fixed, roughly 7:00–10:00 PM PH time): This is when our Vietnam photo team typically finishes their edit and hands photos to you (they reliably deliver by 7:00 AM EST, which lands around 8:00 PM PH time). You'll do the photo expediting, build the gallery, and send it out — ideally finishing video delivery around the same time so you can move straight into photo work.

Important: the evening window is mostly fixed, but can shift later on days when the Vietnam team runs behind schedule. We need someone comfortable with that flexibility rather than a rigid clock-out time.

Note: times above are given in EST — please confirm with us that this matches Eastern Standard vs. Eastern Daylight time, since it can shift the schedule by an hour depending on time of year.
Requirements
-Fluent, professional English (written and verbal) — you'll be giving/receiving feedback directly with our team and may have some client-facing communication
-Proficient in Final Cut Pro
-Working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom (light touch-up level, not full photo editing)
-Portfolio demonstrating real estate promotional video work — listing videos, walkthrough edits, and/or social-media-formatted real estate content
-Reliable internet connection and evening availability in Philippines time
-Comfortable working async across a multi-timezone handoff chain (Charlottesville ? Vietnam ? Philippines)

Nice to Have
Prior experience specifically editing real estate content for MLS and social platforms
Experience building/delivering client galleries (Picflow or similar platforms)
Prior remote work experience with US-based clients
