We are looking for a high-level Video Editor and Content Strategist based to lead the "Short-Form First" growth of a leadership authority channel. You will be responsible for taking raw footage and high-level concepts (rooted in I/O Psychology and Enterprise Consulting) and turning them into high-retention Shorts that drive community growth, as well as supporting long-form content.
Key Responsibilities:
Short-Form Mastery: Edit 8+ high-impact Shorts per week. You must understand pacing, "jump cuts," pattern interrupts, and psychological triggers that keep viewers watching past the 15-second mark.
"Shorts-to-Long" Workflow: Instead of traditional repurposing, you will help design the Shorts strategy first to test hooks, then assist in building out the long-form pillars that support the winning themes.
The "Outlaw" Aesthetic: Maintain a consistent, high-authority brand voice. Think "Alex Hormozi energy meets Enterprise Strategy." Clean, bold typography, relevant B-roll, and no "fluff."
Retention Optimization: Analyze YouTube Studio data (AVD and Retentions graphs) to identify where viewers drop off and adjust the editing style accordingly.
Asset Management: Manage a library of "Ph.D. Proof" assets—scientific papers, frameworks, and diagrams—to overlay as social proof.
Required Skills:
Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Camtasia, or CapCut (Desktop).
Deep understanding of YouTube Shorts/TikTok/Reels algorithms.
English Fluency: Ability to edit for nuances in "Business English" and Enterprise terminology for captions.
Strategic Thinking: You don't just cut video; you understand why a hook works.
