About Us
Vantage Point Agency is a growing US-based digital marketing and creative agency. We have served 50+ clients and are looking for a team of video editors not a one-time freelancer.
We want someone who wants to grow with us, improve their skills, and eventually take greater leadership within our creative team of editors.
The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, dependable, and creative Video Editor who understands storytelling not just how to cut videos.
Our team produces approximately 80–100 pieces of quality video content every month, including:
* Reels, TikToks & YouTube Shorts
* Long-form YouTube videos
* Full podcast episodes & podcast clips
* Reaction videos
* Talking-head content
* Quote/text-based videos
* Promotional & brand storytelling content
Technical Skills — REQUIRED
You must be comfortable with:
* Adobe Premiere Pro
* CapCut for fast-paced and short-form editing workflows
* Professional color correction & color grading
* Editing footage captured on Sony cinematic cameras
* Working with LOG/flat footage and creating a polished final look
* 4K editing and exports
* Audio cleanup and mixing
* Captions and on-screen graphics
* B-roll and visual storytelling
* Music and sound design
* Short-form AND long-form editing
* Vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) formats
* Google Drive file organization
*
Premiere Pro is our primary professional editing platform, but we also value editors who know how to use CapCut efficiently when it makes sense for short-form content and faster workflows.
We will provide access to Epidemic Sound for professional music and sound effects.
### Storytelling Matters
We don't want editors who simply cut clips and add captions. You should understand pacing, emotion, B-roll, music, hooks, sound design, and visual storytelling.
Because our clients are primarily US-based, you must also understand how to select accurate US-based B-roll and visuals. If someone is talking about Tampa, show Tampa FL. If they're talking about American football, don't show soccer.
If you don't understand a reference, research it before choosing the footage.
Quality Is Non-Negotiable
Our goal isn't simply to produce 80–100 videos.
It's to have 80–100 QUALITY pieces of content ready every month.
Before a video reaches our leadership team or a client, it should have:
* No typos
* No caption mistakes
* No obvious editing errors
* Accurate B-roll
* Professional color grading
* Clean audio
* Correct branding
* Correct formatting and exports
* Strong pacing and storytelling
Growth & Leadership
We want someone who is hungry to get better.
You should be willing to learn new editing styles, advanced Premiere Pro and CapCut techniques, AI tools, and emerging creative technology.
We don't want you doing the exact same type of editing a year from now.
As you grow, there is an opportunity to help lead our editing team, review other editors' work, maintain quality, manage deadlines, and make sure every editor knows what they are responsible for.
Video Editor → Senior Editor → Lead Editor → Creative Team Leader
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF:
This position requires an experienced video editor. Please do not apply if:
* You only know basic video cuts and captions.
* You do not know how to color correct and color grade video.
* You are not comfortable editing 4K footage from Sony cinematic cameras.
* You do not understand storytelling, pacing, and how to keep viewers watching.
* You use random B-roll instead of choosing footage that matches what the person is saying.
* You often miss spelling mistakes, caption errors, or other small details.
* You need step-by-step instructions for every video.
* You are not willing to learn and improve your skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, AI tools, and new editing technology.
* You cannot study a reference video and create something with a similar style and level of quality.
We do not expect you to know everything. But we do expect you to learn, improve, solve problems, and become a better editor over time.
If you see something you don't know how to do, we want your mindset to be:
“I don't know how to do this yet, but I can learn.”
