# Part-Time Video Editor — Short-Form + Carousels (Credit/Finance Content)

**Company:** Upper Echelon Capital
**Type:** Part-time, independent contractor
**Hours:** ~3 hours/day (~15–18 hrs/week), flexible schedule, deadline-driven not clock-in
**Pay:** $50/week (flat weekly rate)
**Location:** Remote / Philippines

## About the Role

Upper Echelon Capital is a U.S. business credit, credit repair, and business funding consulting company. We're rebuilding our content presence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok and need an editor to turn raw talking-head recordings into polished short-form video and carousels every week — on a consistent schedule.

You won't be filming or scripting. I record the raw video myself covering credit repair, credit building, and business funding topics. Your job is everything after that: cutting it down, captioning it, making it scroll-stopping, and formatting it for each platform.

## Weekly Deliverables

- **3 short-form videos/week** — cut from my raw recordings, ≤60 seconds, vertical 9:16, exported and formatted for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok (platform-specific caption placement/safe zones)
- **2 Instagram carousels/week** — 6–10 slide static or light-motion carousels built from bullet points/scripts I provide, on-brand with UEC's colors/fonts
- **1 long-form YouTube video/week** — a longer edit (5–15 min) from extended raw footage, with a custom thumbnail

## What Each Piece Needs

- Hook in the first 2–3 seconds, burned-in captions, clean cuts (no dead air), on-screen text call-outs for key points
- Following our **70/20/10 content mix**: most weeks should land close to
- **70% Value** — educational credit repair, credit building, and business funding content people save/share
- **20% Proof** — client results, before/after credit scores, testimonial clips, case-study breakdowns
- **10% Offer** — direct CTA content pointing to our services (Expedited Credit Repair, Elite Credit Repair, Elite Mentorship, Platinum Mentorship)
- Simple intro/outro and logo watermark, consistent across all posts
- Carousels follow the same ratio — mostly value-driven checklists/breakdowns, occasional proof or offer slide sets

## Requirements

- Proven experience editing short-form vertical video (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience designing Instagram carousels (Canva or Photoshop)
- Strong accurate English captioning/subtitling
- Understanding of Reels/TikTok/Shorts pacing, hooks, and trends
- Reliable with deadlines and clear async communication (WhatsApp/Slack/Trello)
- Must submit a portfolio or sample edits with application

## Schedule & Pay

- Part-time, ~3 hrs/day — you manage your own hours as long as weekly deliverables are met on schedule
- $50/week flat rate, paid weekly
- Growth potential: rate and scope can increase as output and results scale
