Video Editor with Creative Direction (Short-Form Content, Long-Term)
Job type: Part-time to start, full-time for the right person
Description
I'm looking for a video editor who thinks like a content strategist, not just someone who cuts clips.
I run content across Instagram and YouTube and I need a partner on the creative side. You'll edit, but you'll also help d ---------- what we make next.
What you'll do
Edit short-form videos (reels, shorts, TikToks) and occasional long-form
Suggest content ideas and hooks, not just wait for a brief
Recycle existing footage into new videos: new angles, new hooks, new formats from the same raw material
Review performance data (views, retention, saves, shares) and work with me on what to post next based on what's working
Bring ideas every week
What I need from you
Fluent English, written and spoken. We'll be going back and forth on ideas constantly
Strong editing skills in Premiere, CapCut, or DaVinci (tell me what you use)
A real sense of creative direction. You have opinions on pacing, hooks, and what makes something worth watching
Comfortable reading analytics and forming a point of view from them
Reliable and communicative. If something's delayed, I hear about it before the deadline, not after
Nice to have
Experience with design, fashion, or creator/education content
Motion graphics or After Effects
You've grown an account before, yours or a client's
Pay: Based on experience. Put your expected monthly rate in your application.
