JOB OVERVIEW

I am an English Pronunciation and American Accent Coach looking for a detail-oriented Video Editor to produce educational content, both short- and long-form. You will primarily be turning "talking head" footage into high-retention social media content, such as short form instagram content or long form video podcasts for YouTube.

Most of my content consists of "talking head" videos where I discuss linguistics, pronunciation, and the mindset behind language learning.

Core Responsibilities:

- Video editing: cutting out bloopers, minimal zooms to emphasize key points, and other typical social media cuts for audience retention.
- Audio: occasional sound effects to emphasize key points, audio cleanup if necessary
- Educational Overlays: Correcting auto-captions, placing diagrams or phonetic transcriptions and other text (I will provide this).

Requirements:

- English proficiency: I teach English pronunciation, so you need to be decent in English, especially since a lot of content revolves around foreign-accented English, your English needs to be good enough to understand other accents
- Communication with me: as it is likely I may need to correct overlaid text or diagrams, so we will need to be in contact a few times a week.
- File management: There will likely be a lot of files we are sharing, so make sure you name the files correctly and place them in the right folders.
