JOB OVERVIEW

I run a growing Pokémon trading card YouTube channel focused on pack openings, collecting, and "learn-with-me" content that's both entertaining and educational. I'm looking for a talented, detail-obsessed video editor to produce polished, graphics-rich videos on a consistent weekly schedule.

This is not a basic cut-and-trim role. My videos are heavy on custom motion graphics, animated text callouts, emotes, sound effects, price-card overlays, and educational "fun fact" sequences. The style is fun, energetic, and clean, and I care deeply about accuracy and about consistent quality from the first second to the last.

What you'll edit

One long-form video per week (usually 10 to 30+ minutes): pack openings and collecting content
One short-form teaser / Reel per long-form video
Custom graphics: animated keyword/text highlights, emotes, reaction ---------- nts, SFX, price cards, on-screen labels, reference images
Fun-fact sequences (keyword text + images + emotes over voiceover)

You must be

Highly skilled in motion graphics and animated text work (After Effects or equivalent)
Strong in sound design (well-timed SFX, clean audio)
Extremely accurate and detail-oriented. On-screen info (prices, card names, numbers, spellings) must be correct every time. This is an educational channel, so accuracy is non-negotiable.
Able to hold quality consistent across an entire long-form video, with no drop-off in the back half
Reliable with deadlines and proactive in communication
Comfortable communicating in English (we coordinate over ---------- )
Able to handle longer videos without missing details

Nice to have

Interest in or knowledge of Pokémon / trading cards
Ability to source images and reference assets efficiently
Experience building reusable graphics templates for faster turnaround

Workflow

Footage delivered via WeTransfer or Google Drive
One consolidated round of revision notes per video
Consistent weekly turnaround

To apply, please send:

A portfolio or reel that specifically shows motion graphics, animated text, and sound design (not just basic cuts)
A short note on your experience with graphics-heavy, long-form content
In one or two sentences: how do you make sure on-screen details like prices and names are always accurate, and how do you keep quality consistent across a long video?
To confirm you've read this in full, begin your reply with the word "Pikachu"
Your availability and typical turnaround time for a 15 to 20 minute graphics-heavy video

Strong applicants will be invited to a short paid trial edit so I can see how you work.
