Video Editor (Freelance)
We run a podcast production agency for brands and creators, and we're adding more freelance Video Editors to the bench on projects as they come, paid per project.
Here's the job: raw recording in, finished episode plus social cutdowns out. You own the timeline. Cuts, pacing, audio, color, captions, exports. If it's wrong on delivery, it's on you, which is also why the people who are good at this tend to like the work.
You would be a great fit if you can take a brief and run with it. We move fast and our clients want their videos turned around quickly, so dependable communication and clean delivery matter as much as the edit itself.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Edit long-form podcast episodes for YouTube
- Cut vertical clips (9:16, 1080x1920) for Instagram, TikTok, Shorts
- Work multi-source unsynced audio with clean level-matching
- Make pacing, caption, and opening/closing-beat calls inside the brief
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A reel with BOTH long-form podcast and short vertical work
- Strong instinct that the first 3 seconds earn the next 3
- Comfortable in Premiere or DaVinci, honest about your AI tools
- Clean files, reliable turnaround
This starts per project with steady volume for the right person, and it can grow into more consistent work over time. The first step after we review portfolios is a short paid test edit.
Flexible, remote, project-based work with small focused teams. You get a producer's brief, source material, and clear specs.
If you're good at what you do, we'd love to hear from you.
HOW TO APPLY
Short form, takes about 2 minutes:
Put the word "atlas" somewhere in your answers so we know you read this far.
