JOB OVERVIEW

Job description

We're a UK-based e-commerce business running a high volume of Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram). Creative is the biggest driver of our results, and we test a lot of it. We're looking for a fast, creative video editor who can come up with scroll-stopping hooks, use AI tools to work at speed, and produce a steady volume of ad variations every week.

This is not a "polish one video a week" role. We need someone who loves direct-response ads, thinks in hooks and angles, and can turn one piece of footage into many ads.

What you'll be doing

Editing short-form video ads (mostly 15–60 seconds) from raw footage, UGC-style clips, product shots and presenter videos
Writing and testing multiple hooks for each ad (the first 3 seconds), not just editing the ones we give you
Producing a high volume of variations every week: different hooks, angles, captions, lengths and calls to action
Using AI tools to speed up editing, generate voiceovers, create B-roll and visuals, and produce new angles from existing footage
Formatting for all placements: 9:16 (Reels/Stories), 4:5 and 1:1 (Feed)
Adding captions, text overlays, simple motion graphics, music and sound effects
Refreshing and remixing past winning ads based on performance feedback
Keeping files organised and named consistently so we can track what's being tested

What we're looking for

Proven experience editing ads for Facebook, Instagram or TikTok (please include examples)
A strong understanding of direct-response advertising and what makes people stop scrolling
Able to come up with your own hook ideas and angles, not just follow a brief
Hands-on experience with AI tools for video and ad production, such as CapCut AI features, Runway, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Midjourney, Opus Clip or similar
Confident with Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects
Comfortable working at pace, turning one piece of footage into 5–10+ variations
Takes feedback well and iterates quickly
Good written English and clear communication
Reliable internet and a computer that can handle HD/4K footage

Nice to have

Experience with UK or US audiences
Motion graphics or animation skills
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or creative testing
Experience with e-commerce or product-based brands
