OVERVIEW
We’re building a premium travel/adventure brand focused on cinematic, high-energy content.
Think:
- Red Bull-style intensity
- Emotional storytelling
- Clean, high-end visuals
- We’re not looking for a basic editor.
- We’re looking for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into something that feels alive.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Edit short-form travel/adventure videos (15–60s primarily)
- Create strong pacing, flow, and emotional build
- Apply cinematic color grading (not just LUTs)
- Add sound design (impacts, risers, ambient layers)
- Use motion (speed ramps, masking, transitions) intentionally—not excessively
- Maintain a consistent, premium visual style across content
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Strong editing fundamentals (cuts, pacing, music sync)
- Understanding of color grading workflow (LOG ? Rec709 ? final look)
- Ability to create cinematic, high-end visuals
Experience with:
- DaVinci Resolve (preferred for color)
- Adobe Premiere Pro or similar
- Ability to follow direction + bring creative input
Strong bonus:
- Experience with Adobe After Effects (masking, tracking, motion)
- Sound design experience
- Travel/adventure content experience
WHAT WE DON’T WANT
- Template-based editing
- Overuse of flashy transitions
- “TikTok style” with no story
- Heavy reliance on LUTs without understanding
EXAMPLES OF STYLE
We want content similar to:
- Fast-paced travel edits
- Cinematic adventure sequences
- Emotion + intensity + movement
- (We’ll send references after application)
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS (IMPORTANT)
- To be considered, you must answer ALL of the following:
1. Portfolio
- Send 2–5 of your best cinematic edits (not talking head / podcast clips)
2. Color Grading
- Explain your full workflow for turning flat LOG footage into a cinematic final image.
- (Be specific. Avoid vague answers.)
3. Improvement Thinking
- If you had to take one of your edits from 8/10 ? 10/10, what would you change?
4. Creative Thinking
- How would you make a video feel more intense and cinematic without changing the footage?
5. Code Word
- Start your application with: “CINEMATIC”
- (If you don’t include this, we won’t review your application.)
COMPENSATION
- Depends on skill level
- Opportunity for long-term work and increased volume
- Potential to grow into lead editor role
FINAL NOTE
We care about:
- Taste
- Intentionality
- Storytelling
- Not just technical ability.
