JOB OVERVIEW

Hi, I'm Vincent. I run a marketing agency that helps Pilates studios and wellness businesses grow through social media content that actually converts. We create short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) designed to stop the scroll, build trust, and drive new clients through the door.

I'm not looking for someone who just edits what I tell them to edit. I'm looking for a **content strategist who also edits** — someone who researches trends, proposes the content calendar, creates graphics, writes captions, posts, engages with the audience, and tracks what's working. You'll be the engine behind our clients' entire social media presence.

Here's how it works: I shoot the raw footage on location (1-2 days per month per client). You handle everything else — from planning what we shoot, to editing, to posting, to reporting on results. I review and approve before anything goes live, but you drive the strategy.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

*Content Strategy & Planning*
- Research viral trends, trending sounds, and content formats weekly — then bring ideas to the table before we shoot
- Draft the monthly content calendar for each client (I review and approve, but you propose)
- Analyze competitors and identify content gaps and opportunities
- Recommend what to shoot based on what's performing and what's trending

*Video Editing & Production*
- Edit short-form videos (15-90 seconds) optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Craft strong hooks in the first 1-3 seconds of every video — this is the most important part
- Add text overlays, captions, transitions, and basic motion graphics
- Repurpose raw footage into multiple pieces of content for different platforms

*Graphic Design*
- Create story graphics, carousels, and thumbnails in Canva (or similar)
- Design templates that match each client's brand
- Create static ad creative when needed

*Social Media Management*
- Write captions that drive engagement with clear calls to action
- Research and apply relevant hashtags
- Schedule and post content across platforms
- Respond to comments and DMs on behalf of clients
- Proactively engage with relevant accounts to grow the audience

*Analytics & Reporting*
- Track content performance across platforms
- Deliver monthly analytics snapshots or reports (depending on client tier)
- Make data-driven recommendations — "this format is working, let's do more of it"

**THE KIND OF PERSON I'M LOOKING FOR**

I care way more about who you are than what's on your resume. Skills can be taught. Character can't.

- You actually enjoy scrolling through Reels and TikTok and studying what works — this isn't just a job for you, it's something you're genuinely curious about
- You think strategically — you don't just edit what's handed to you, you think about *why* this piece of content exists and what it's supposed to achieve
- You pay close attention to detail and take pride in clean, polished work
- You communicate proactively — if something is unclear, you ask rather than guess
- You're honest. If you don't know something, you say so. If you made a mistake, you own it.
- You take ownership. When you're responsible for a client's content, you treat it like it's your own brand.
- You want a long-term role, not a one-off project

**MUST-HAVE SKILLS**

- Video editing in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Understanding of short-form video structure (hook ? story ? CTA)
- Ability to add text overlays, captions, transitions, and basic motion graphics
- Comfortable editing vertical video for mobile-first platforms
- Graphic design in Canva (stories, carousels, thumbnails)
- Good written English for captions, content calendars, and communication
- Experience managing or posting to Instagram and/or TikTok accounts

**NICE TO HAVE (not required)**

- Experience with fitness, wellness, or Pilates content
- Photoshop or Figma skills
- Experience running or analyzing social media ad campaigns
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Meta Business Suite)
- Experience with AI tools for content workflows
- Knowledge of Instagram/TikTok analytics and reporting

**COMPENSATION & DETAILS**

- $ ---------- USD/month depending on experience
- Full-time (40 hrs/week)
- Long-term position — I'm looking for someone to grow with, not a short gig
- Flexible schedule, but I need overlap with US Pacific time for at least 2-3 hours daily
- 13th-month bonus
- I will start with a paid test project before making a final hiring decision
