**Job Description: YouTube Video Editor & Growth Strategist**

We are looking for a talented and driven YouTube Video Editor and Growth Strategist to join our team. This is a dual-role position, and both sides of this role carry equal weight. You must bring proven experience and a strong portfolio in both. If you are passionate about building audiences, obsessed with what makes people click and stay, and know how to make a video feel polished and purposeful, we want to hear from you!

**Responsibility 1: Video Editing**

You will be responsible for editing all YouTube content from raw footage to a fully polished, publish-ready video. This is not basic cutting and trimming. We are looking for someone who understands the psychology of retention, knows how to pace a video to keep viewers watching, and can make a talking-head format feel dynamic and engaging.

Responsibilities include editing raw footage into compelling, well-paced YouTube videos, adding graphics, lower thirds, captions, and b-roll where appropriate, maintaining a consistent visual style that reflects our brand, while creating intro hooks that stop the scroll in the first 30 seconds, and delivering videos on deadline without sacrificing quality. Shorts and editing reel type of content will be needed.

Requirements include a portfolio of edited YouTube videos with demonstrated audience retention performance, proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional editing software, experience with motion graphics and text animation, and a strong eye for pacing, visual storytelling, and brand consistency.


**Responsibility 2: YouTube Growth Strategy**

Editing a great video is only half the job. You will also own the strategy behind how each video performs. This means you understand how YouTube's algorithm works, how to research what audiences are searching for, and how to position every video for maximum discoverability and click-through.

Responsibilities include conducting keyword and topic research using vidIQ, TubeBuddy, or equivalent tools, writing SEO-optimized titles, descriptions, and tags for every upload, designing or directing high-converting thumbnails that are consistent with channel branding, managing the YouTube channel end-to-end including upload scheduling, playlists, pinned comments, and community posts, monitoring analytics to identify what is working and adjusting strategy accordingly, and developing a content calendar aligned with channel growth goals.

**Responsibility 3: General Video Editing**
Beyond YouTube, you will be responsible for long-form video content that lives on our other learning platforms, including editing them into short-form assets that extend our reach across multiple platforms.
