JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor & Thumbnail Designer for "Adam Feather" Financial Education YouTube Channel ( ---------- Videos)

Position: Full-Time Video Editor & Thumbnail Designer
Project Duration: Long-term (12+ months, ---------- videos)
Weekly Workload: ~15 videos per week (15-40 minutes each)
Compensation: $2,400 USD per month (monthly retainer, includes all videos + thumbnails)
About The Project

I'm launching a comprehensive financial education YouTube channel under my name—Adam Feather—focused on international tax optimization, residency programs, and location-independent living. I have ---------- professionally written scripts ready to record and need an exceptional editor to transform these into polished, engaging YouTube videos.

This is real work with real volume. I'm recording 15 videos weekly using a Sony A7IV camera. The editing style needs to be natural and effortless—strategic cuts and enhancements, not over-edited. Think intelligent editing that enhances the content without being obvious or distracting. The goal is to make viewers feel like they're having a sophisticated conversation, not watching a hyperactive YouTube video.

Videos will drive viewers to The Sovereign Stack, my backend program for deeper financial sovereignty education.
What You'll Be Editing

Content Type: Educational/informational videos about:

International tax systems and optimization strategies
Residency and citizenship programs worldwide
Digital nomad lifestyles and location independence
Country comparisons with specific data and numbers
Legal structures for businesses and individuals

Examples of what you'll handle:

"How to Become Tax Resident in Panama in 60 Days"
"10 Countries With Tax Holidays for New Residents (Ranked by Actual Value)"
"Bulgaria's 10% Flat Tax: The European Tax Rate You Can Actually Qualify For"
"I Pay More Tax In One Month Than Starbucks Paid In 4 Years"

Video Length: 15-40 minutes (varies by topic complexity)

Each video includes detailed data, country comparisons, specific numbers, timelines, and step-by-step explanations requiring visual support.
Editing Philosophy & Style

This is crucial to understand:

I don't want over-edited, jump-cut-heavy, attention-grabbing YouTube chaos. I want intelligent, strategic editing that enhances without overwhelming.

What I mean by "strategic editing":

Clean cuts that maintain natural flow and pacing
Removing mistakes, long pauses, or weak ---------- nts—but keeping the natural conversational rhythm
Adding graphics and data visualizations when they serve the content, not for decoration
Subtle transitions that don't distract
On-screen text that highlights key information without cluttering the frame
B-roll that enhances understanding, used sparingly and purposefully
Audio that's clean and balanced without sounding over-processed

The result should feel effortless: Viewers should be engaged by the content and information, not distracted by editing tricks. Think educational sophistication, not entertainment spectacle.

Reference channels for editing style:

Patrick Boyle (sophisticated, minimal, content-focused)
Polymatter (clean graphics, intelligent pacing)
Economics Explained (data-driven, clear visuals)

NOT like: High-energy finance YouTubers with constant jump cuts and effects
Your Responsibilities
Video Editing (Primary Role):

Edit 15-40 minute videos from Sony A7IV footage following provided scripts exactly
Strategic cutting and pacing:
Remove mistakes and dead space while maintaining natural conversational flow
Create rhythm that keeps viewers engaged without feeling rushed
Make the edit feel invisible—viewers shouldn't notice the editing
Add sophisticated graphics and data visualizations when needed:
Country comparison charts
Tax rate breakdowns and calculations
Timeline graphics showing processes
Cost breakdowns with specific numbers
Maps highlighting countries/regions
Before/after tax scenarios
Clean, minimal design aesthetic
Create professional on-screen text:
Key facts and figures highlighted
Important dates and deadlines
Website URLs and links to The Sovereign Stack
Perfectly spelled annotations (English fluency essential)
Used strategically, not constantly
Insert B-roll and stock footage sparingly:
Only when it genuinely enhances understanding
Avoid generic, obvious stock footage
Prefer subtle, relevant visuals
Add lower thirds, chapter markers, and clean transitions
Create end screens with links to related videos and The Sovereign Stack
Optimize audio: clean dialogue, balanced levels, remove background noise—but keep natural voice quality
Maintain consistent, professional branding across all videos
Export in YouTube-optimized formats (1080p minimum, proper encoding)

Thumbnail Design (Required - Every Video):

IMPORTANT: You will create a thumbnail for EVERY video unless I specifically tell you otherwise. Thumbnail creation is a core part of this role, not optional. Each edited video must be delivered with its accompanying thumbnail.

Create eye-catching thumbnails for every single video following successful YouTube formulas
Study and model after: Shane Hummus, Andrei Jikh, Graham Stephan, Ryan Scribner
Include: compelling text overlays, relevant imagery, consistent branding, high contrast
Design principles:
Clear, readable text even at small sizes
High-contrast colors that pop in YouTube feed
Professional, clean design (not cluttered or amateur)
Consistent style across all thumbnails for brand recognition
Attention-grabbing but appropriate for sophisticated audience
Test variations when requested
Deliver editable source files (PSD or similar) with each thumbnail
Timeline: Thumbnail delivered with video edit, not separately

To be absolutely clear: Unless I explicitly say "I'll create the thumbnail for this one," you are responsible for designing and delivering a professional thumbnail with every video. This is included in your monthly compensation.
Workflow & Process

Weekly Cycle:

Monday: I record 15 scripts (provided in advance)
Tuesday: Raw footage uploaded to Dropbox/Google Drive
Wednesday-Saturday: You edit and upload drafts for review (video + thumbnail for each)
Sunday: Final revisions and uploads

Delivery Requirements:

Each video delivered with its accompanying thumbnail
Both video and thumbnail uploaded to shared Dropbox folder
Thumbnail source files (PSD or similar) included
If thumbnail is missing, the video is considered incomplete

Review Process:

Upload completed videos with thumbnails to shared Dropbox folder
I review and flag required changes with timestamps
You implement revisions quickly (same day or next day)
Final approval ? video and thumbnail ready for YouTube upload

Communication:

Daily check-ins via Slack/WhatsApp/email
Quick response time expected (within 4 hours during workday)
Open communication about challenges or questions
Proactive suggestions for improving visual presentation

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Technical Skills:

? Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
? Advanced skills in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
? Professional thumbnail design experience (this is mandatory, not optional)
? Experience creating clean, sophisticated data visualizations and animated graphics
? Understanding of YouTube best practices: pacing, retention optimization, thumbnail psychology
? Fast turnaround capability: 15 videos + 15 thumbnails per week consistently (60+ per month)
? Understanding of "invisible editing": making strategic cuts that enhance without being obvious

Language & Communication:

? Advanced English skills (reading, writing, comprehension)
? Perfect spelling and grammar for on-screen text
? Ability to understand complex financial/legal concepts from scripts
? Excellent communication: responsive, clear, professional

Work Style:

? Unassailable professionalism and work ethic
? Meets deadlines consistently without excuses
? Self-directed and proactive: anticipates needs, suggests improvements
? Long-term commitment: this is ---------- videos over 12+ months

? Aesthetic judgment: knows when to add graphics vs when to keep it simple

Portfolio Requirements:

? Demonstration of similar work: educational/financial YouTube videos strongly preferred
? High production quality with sophisticated, minimal editing style
? Examples showing restraint: not over-edited, not cluttered with effects
? Thumbnail portfolio: MUST include multiple examples of successful YouTube thumbnails you've created
? Complete portfolio only: incomplete work or basic edits will be rejected immediately

Compensation & Payment Structure

Monthly Retainer: $2,400 USD per month

What this covers:

15 videos per week (60+ videos per month)
15 professional thumbnails per week (60+ thumbnails per month) - one for each video
All thumbnails included unless I specifically tell you otherwise for a particular video
Reasonable revisions (1-2 rounds per video and thumbnail)
Videos ranging from 15-40 minutes in length
Full-time commitment and availability
Consistent, reliable delivery

Payment Details:

Paid on the 1st of each month
Via PayPal, Wise, or Payoneer (your preference)
First payment after successful completion of first week's videos (with thumbnails)
Ongoing monthly payments for duration of project

Why this rate? This is premium compensation because you'll be:

Producing 60+ professional videos monthly consistently
Creating 60+ professional thumbnails monthly
Working with complex financial/legal content requiring advanced English
Creating sophisticated data visualizations and graphics
Maintaining high quality across high volume
Committing long-term (12+ months, ---------- total videos with thumbnails)

What's NOT included:

Only if I explicitly say "I'll handle the thumbnail for this video" will you not create one
This happens rarely (perhaps 1-2 videos out of every 15)
Default assumption: every video gets a thumbnail from you

? Generic copy-paste applications
? "I can do this" with no portfolio link
? Portfolio showing over-edited, effect-heavy videos
? Portfolio showing only basic cuts and transitions
? No thumbnail examples in portfolio

Important Notes

This is serious, professional work at scale. I'm not looking for someone learning on the job or building their portfolio from scratch. You must already be an accomplished video editor AND thumbnail designer with proven experience in educational content.

Understanding the editing style is crucial. If you're someone who loves jump cuts every 3 seconds, heavy effects, and constant visual stimulation—this isn't the right project. I need someone who understands that sophisticated content requires sophisticated editing: strategic, minimal, intelligent enhancements that serve the content rather than distract from it.

Thumbnail creation is non-negotiable. This is not "video editing with occasional thumbnail work." This is "video editing AND professional thumbnail design for every single video." If you're not confident in your thumbnail design skills, or if you view thumbnails as secondary to editing, do not apply. I need someone who excels at both.

The successful candidate will become an essential long-term partner in building this channel. I'm looking for someone who wants consistent, reliable, high-volume work with a client who values quality, respects deadlines, and communicates clearly.

What you can expect fro ---------- as a client:

Clear direction and detailed scripts for every video
Prompt monthly payment (1st of each month, every month)
Respectful, professional communication
Reasonable revision requests with specific feedback
Long-term commitment and job security (12+ months, ---------- videos)
Recognition of your expertise and creative input
Scripts that make your job easier—well-written, structured, and clear

Compensation: $2,400 USD per month (includes all videos + all thumbnails)
Location: Remote (Philippines-based preferred for timezone compatibility)
Commitment: Full-time, 15 videos + 15 thumbnails weekly, 12+ months minimum
Video Length: 15-40 minutes (varies by topic)
Style: Strategic, sophisticated, minimal—not over-edited
Thumbnails: Required for every video unless specifically told otherwise
Start Date: Within 2 weeks of hiring

To apply, send your portfolio (including thumbnail examples) and answers to the questions above. Applications without complete portfolios including thumbnail work will not be reviewed.

Note to applicants: I will review every serious application carefully. However, I will only respond to candidates whose portfolios demonstrate the professional quality in BOTH video editing AND thumbnail design, sophisticated editing style, and experience required for this project.

This is not entry-level work. This is expert-level video editing AND thumbnail design for complex financial content, delivered at high volume, with premium compensation to match. If you're that expert editor and designer looking for stable, long-term, well-paid work, apply now.

$2,400 USD monthly. 60+ videos monthly. 60+ thumbnails monthly. 12+ months minimum. Expert-level work for expert-level pay. Apply with your complete portfolio including thumbnail examples.
