JOB OVERVIEW

About Us:
Ben's Deals is an off-grid focused online and brick-and-mortar retail solar store, appliance manufacturer, and importer. We are a small, specialized team of 4 people helping people live comfortably off the grid. This is not a huge, impersonal company. Our product lines are not throw-away items; they are higher-end lifestyle and home improvement purchases. Because of this, the people we talk to are very interesting, usually quite pleasant, and many of our repeat customers actually become our friends.

The Role:
We are looking for a versatile and organized team player to help us grow our online presence and support our busy office. Your primary focus will be editing and managing the owner's how-to and product demonstration videos, but you will also wear a few other hats, including helping out with overflow phone calls when the store gets busy.

This position will start as part-time, but we are quite confident we will need someone full-time for this role very soon.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Video Editing & Social Media (60%): Edit product demonstrations and how-to videos, and manage uploads to our social media channels.

Graphic Design & Email (20%): Create engaging banners and sales promotion graphics for our website and email campaigns.

Customer Support (20%): Pitch in to take overflow phone calls when the office lines are full.

The Tools We Use:

Video: HeyGen, OpusClip, ElevenLabs, DaVinci Resolve or other editor, Gemini, Claude

Graphics & Marketing: Canva (or similar), Klaviyo
(Note: If you are familiar with these, they are not too difficult. Avatars and voices are already set up. We are willing to train the right person!)

Requirements:

Excellent Spoken & Written English: Because you will be speaking directly with our customers on the phone, a high level of conversational English is necessary.

Quiet Workspace: You must have a quiet background environment with a reliable internet connection for taking live calls.

Organization Skills: The ability to juggle video projects while occasionally stepping away to help a customer.

Experience: Proven experience with video editing and creating marketing graphics.
