JOB OVERVIEW

HomeTown Lending is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based mortgage brokerage building a fast-growing content presence across Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. We're scaling from inconsistent posting to a real daily content engine, and this hire is core to making that happen. We're hiring this week — please apply promptly if you can start within the next several days.

WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING
*includes but not limited to*

- Short-form vertical video (Reels/TikTok/YouTube Shorts) — 15-90 sec talking-head, myth-busting, and b-roll cuts, etc.
- Long-form YouTube and podcast episodes
- Recruiting and loan-officer spotlight content (testimonial-style clips, comparisons)
- Talking-head + b-roll content for the founder's personal brand and coaching content

WEEKLY OUTPUT TARGET: 3-5 short-form videos plus 1 long-form video per week.

FILE WORKFLOW: Raw footage delivered via Google Drive; finished edits returned to the same shared folder, clearly named and versioned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Turn raw footage into publish-ready video against the weekly target above
- Clean, readable captions with strong pacing on hooks (first 3 seconds)
- Make flat/static footage engaging (pacing, punch-ins, b-roll, text emphasis) without needing detailed direction on every clip
- Keep a consistent look and caption style across all output
- Fast turnaround on footage delivered same-day (24-48 hours)
- Flag unclear direction with specific, timestamped questions rather than guessing
- Stay organized across multiple in-progress projects (clear file naming, versioning)

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years professional video editing experience, with a real portfolio/demo reel showing short-form social content
- Working fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut
- Strong caption/text-overlay work and hook-pacing instincts
- Reliable, fast, self-directed — comfortable working async with same-day turnaround
- Clear English communication (written and spoken)
- Comfortable using Google Drive for file exchange
- ID Proof verified on OnlineJobs.ph — unverified applicants will not be considered

NICE-TO-HAVE

- Motion graphics / animated text and lower-thirds (After Effects or similar)
- Experience editing mortgage, real estate, coaching, or recruiting content
- Familiarity with Descript
