GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Wheeler Home Concepts is a premium real estate photography and marketing company serving Delaware and the surrounding areas. We specialize in high-quality photography, video, and digital media, for Realtors and businesses. Our reputation is built on excellence, creativity, and top-tier service.

We’re looking for a Video Editor to support our growing team with video editing, reels editing, long-form editing, ai video editing/generation, and other projects as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in creative software tools. This role will grow to the option for a full-time role, or can stay part-time if the candidate prefers.

Must provide a link to a portfolio of your work with your application. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Photography & Media Support
• MLS Real Estate Videos: Create cinematic style horizontal property videos for real estate..
• Photobooth Display Videos: Design and update photobooth overlays and templates, as needed.
• Reels Editing: Create short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) using Premier Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Long-form video editing: Interviews, podcasts, etc.
• AI Video Generation/Prompting: Use AI video generation tools to help bring creative and unique ideas to life to add to our video content.
• Assist with Writing and Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Document processes and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Organization: Maintain organized records and files of images, projects, and updates in our system.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• We hire for attitude and train for skill, but experience in general administrative tasks is helpful
• Must be able to work flexible hours; Ability to work with a sense of urgency when focusing on a task
• Communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing; comfortably interface with clients
• Ability to maintain a positive rapport with co-workers, Realtors, and clients a must
• Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations, codes and guidelines; Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to production

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience with:
• Premier Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (Reels/Video Editing)
• Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics software
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Must have a reliable computer capable of running the required applications and 4K60 video.
• Must have fast, reliable internet for remote collaboration.
• Good to excellent English skills (spoken & written) for communication, documentation, and team collaboration.
• Must be able to work 8am-Noon Monday-Saturday, Eastern Standard Time (4 hrs). There is potential for this to become a full-time job for the right candidate.

This is primarily a video editing role. Below are detailed descriptions of the skills required for this role.

--- Must-Have Skills (Absolute Needs) ---

Extreme File Organization & Project Archiving: Exceptional discipline in project folder structures, asset naming conventions, and systematic backup workflows. All raw footage, project files, assets, and final exports must be archived so any project can be re-opened instantly for client revisions.

Versatile Multi-Style Editing (Podcasts & Talking Heads): High versatility across formats—from fast-paced 9:16 short-form reels to multi-camera long-form podcast edits (multi-cam switching, speaker reframing, pacing, and audio balancing).

Multi-Project Daily Capacity & Rapid Execution: Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver multiple video edits per day under tight real estate deadlines using proxy workflows, templates, keyboard shortcuts, and batch exporting. Real Estate jobs are typically delivered within 24-48hrs.

Proactive Content Ideation & Simple Concepts: Ability to spot trending social media formats, identify viral hooks, and pitch simple, easy-to-execute content ideas that real estate agents can quickly film on camera.

Non-Linear Editing (NLE) Suite Mastery (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve): Expert proficiency in at least one professional desktop NLE—Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve—with a clean, standardized timeline and bin structure.

Manual Color Correction & Grading: Strong technical ability to manually color correct and grade footage using vectorscopes, waveform monitors, and primary/secondary color controls (e.g., Lumetri Color, DaVinci Color Page) to deliver accurate skin tones and true-to-life interior colors without relying on automated filters.

Complex Motion Captions & Typography: Mastery in creating dynamic, animated, and highly legible text overlays (word-by-word highlights, callouts, brand fonts) designed to retain viewer attention on talking-head clips.
Social Export & Encoding Standards: Thorough knowledge of optimal platform export settings (H.264/HEVC, optimal bitrates, frame rates, color spaces) to ensure fast rendering and crystal-clear playback across all major platforms.

Speed Ramping, Motion Tracking & Masking: Advanced technical proficiency in speed ramping (smooth velocity curves for walkthroughs and transitions), motion tracking (attaching captions, callouts, or graphics to moving subjects), and masking (custom reveals, subject isolation, and targeted color adjustments).

Professional Sound Design & Multi-Track Audio Mixing: Expert ability to clean up low-quality audio, remove room echoes/reverb, balance multi-mic podcast setups, level agent vocals against background tracks, and layer subtle sound effects (swooshes, impacts, risers, ambient fills) to make videos feel polished and high-energy.

Advanced AI Prompting & Standout Creative Generation: Proven ability to craft highly specific, sophisticated text, image, and video prompts across generative AI platforms (e.g., video diffusion, generative fill, expansion tools) to create unique, high-end visual effects, cinematic property extensions, and signature styles that stand out from standard AI templates.

CapCut Desktop Proficiency: Ability to leverage CapCut Desktop for ultra-fast social edits, trending audio syncs, or rapid template builds when same-day turnaround is needed.

Motion Graphics (After Effects or Apple Motion): Experience creating or customizing lower thirds, animated property stats, transition overlays, or reusable graphics templates.

Real Estate Content Familiarity: Pre-existing understanding of property walkthrough flow, architectural framing, and real estate social media marketing trends.
