Video Editor - Short-Form, Long-Form & Ad Creatives (Part-Time, Ongoing)
About Us
We are Ambition Avenue, a financial consulting brand for entrepreneurs based in Belgium. We create educational content about business finance, tax optimization, and investing, published on Instagram,
We are growing fast and need a dedicated video editor who can handle consistent, high-volume output while maintaining quality. This is an ongoing, long-term position, not a one-off project.
The Role
You will be our primary video editor, responsible for three types of content:
1. Short-form content (Reels / Shorts): weekly batches of vertical videos for Instagram and
2. Long-form content (YouTube): weekly videos. Horizontal format, clean editing with chapter breaks, overlays, and polished color grading.
3. Ad creatives: one large batch every 3 to 4 months. Each batch involves stitching multiple hook clips onto ad body videos and end cards. This is mostly repetitive assembly work.
About 70% of our content is talking head. But we also create goofy, funny, and creative format videos. The style can vary.
From each long-form video, we also want you to create 2 to 3 short-form clips by picking the best moments yourself.
How We Solve the Language Barrier
- Our content is recorded in Dutch (Flemish). You do NOT need to speak Dutch. Here is how it works:
1. Pre-cut rough edit: You receive footage already cut in Descript. All content decisions are made. Mistakes and dead air are removed. Your job is to make it look and feel great.
2. English transcript: You receive an English transcript so you understand the content, flow, and key moments.
3. Dutch transcript: You receive a Dutch transcript for adding burned-in subtitles.
4. Edit notes (sometimes): For some videos, Robin will include 2 to 4 lines of specific instructions. For others, you use your own judgment.
This system is designed so you can edit effectively without understanding Dutch.
What We Expect From You
- Consistent quality across all deliverables, every video should feel on-brand
- Clean, professional editing with your own creative input
- Ability to follow a brand guide (colors, fonts, subtitle style) while bringing your own ideas
- Proactive communication: if something is unclear, ask before you start editing
- Reliable availability: we need someone who can handle consistent weekly volume
- Willingness to learn our style and improve based on feedback
- From long-form content, the ability to independently identify the best moments for short-form clips
Requirements
- Proficient in video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent)
- Experience editing short-form vertical content (Reels, Shorts)
- Experience editing long-form YouTube content
- Strong sense of pacing and retention: you understand how to keep viewers watching
- Comfortable with text overlays, zoom effects, lower thirds, and subtitle styling
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work with large files via Google Drive
- Good written English for communication
Nice to have (not required):
- Experience with ad creative editing
- Basic motion graphics or After Effects skills
- Experience with color grading

Timeline & Contract
- We start with a structured testing phase to make sure we are a good fit:
Test 1: One short-form video. Paid test task.
Test 2: 5 short-form videos, 1 long-form video, and 1 ad creative.
Full contract: If both tests go well, a guaranteed 3-month contract. Content delivered to you on Friday, finished edits due by Wednesday of the following week.
Weekly volume after onboarding: at least 4 short-form videos + 1 long-form video. Ad batches every 3 to 4 months.
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable based on experience, speed, and quality. We are looking for a fair arrangement that works for both sides. Payment is monthly.
