JOB OVERVIEW

Full Time Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve) - Story-Driven Shorts
Project Scope:
I’m looking for a freelance video editor who can craft a story from Day in the Life footage of my client and edit it into a short-form video (think Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts). You will be provided with the general story flow and raw footage.

What You’ll Do:

Review and sort through all provided footage.

Script and structure a story based on the footage and flow provided.

Perform the initial edit in DaVinci Resolve (this is a must, to fit within my workflow).

Deliver the DaVinci Resolve project file (.drp) so I can handle the final color grading and finishing touches.

Requirements:
Strong sense of story pacing and rhythm for short-form content.

Experienced in DaVinci Resolve (must be able to hand over project files).

Comfortable working with unscripted, vlog-style, or day-in-the-life footage.

Able to work independently while still collaborating closely based on provided direction.

Deliverables:
Edited DaVinci Resolve project file (.drp)

Timeline with rough cut, sound laid out, basic transitions

Bonus if you:
Have a background in social media content editing

Can craft engaging hooks

Have a good eye for natural, storytelling-style pacing
