We are glør Design, a German design brand. We make LA\VIK, a tabletop bioethanol
fireplace cut from Norwegian Larvikite stone. It is a premium design object, not a
gadget, and our customers are design-minded buyers in Europe who care about material
and craft. We are scaling paid media hard from October to December and we need one
person who turns our raw material into finished ads and social content, at volume.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Cut paid social video ads (9:16, 4:5, 1:1) from our footage: hook variants,
subtitles, B-roll that carries meaning. 4:5 is composed for 4:5, not cropped.
- Build AI statics: you generate the environment (room, light, atmosphere) with AI
and composite our real product cut-out into it. The product is never AI-generated.
- Produce many variants from the same source. One brief becomes 6 to 10 assets.
- Retouch product imagery, produce clean cut-outs.
- Build a real command of our asset library: what exists, what can be reused,
what has been used too often, what we still need to shoot.
- Sound: music, ducking under speech, consistent loudness.
- Follow our file naming convention exactly. This is a hard requirement.
Volume: 50 to 60 finished assets per month, around 90 in November. That only works
with modular, template-based production, which we will build with you in your first
two weeks.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO
Angles, hooks and messaging come to you as written briefs. You own craft, speed and
volume, not strategy. If you want to own strategy, this is not the right role.
LANGUAGE
About half our output is German. You do not need to speak German. We supply every
German line: script, timecoded transcript, subtitle file, on-screen copy. You never
translate, never rewrite German text, never use auto-captions.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 3+ years editing short-form video, ideally for paid social.
- Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop. DaVinci Resolve Studio accepted instead
of Premiere.
- Hands-on AI image generation (Midjourney, Flux, Nano Banana, Seedream or similar)
as a repeatable method, not a lucky one-off.
- Compositing, and we judge this hardest: a real cut-out placed into a generated
scene so perspective, scale, shadow, reflection and colour temperature hold up.
- Subtitles burned-in and as SRT, colour matching, basic motion graphics.
- File discipline and delivery on the agreed date.
- Your own machine and licences, stable internet, able to handle 4K.
- Working English, written and spoken.
BRAND FIT
Our audience buys a design object, not a trend. Calm beats loud. No neon subtitles,
no cut on every beat, no meme formats, no countdowns or discount language. The part
that d
the system behind them, and stay inside it on your own. We are not looking for
someone whose every single image we have to approve.
TERMS
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, remote. This is your main engagement.
- Start as soon as possible, ideally within two weeks.
- Initial term through the end of December, about three months. If it works for
both sides we continue into next year.
- At least four hours of daily overlap with 09:00-17:00 Berlin time.
- Independent contractor: you invoice us monthly, work on your own equipment,
handle your own local taxes and registration.
- USD 1,400 to 2,200 per month. If you are clearly above that level, tell us what
you need.
- A paid trial task comes after the interview and before any offer. You name your
fee for it.
DO NOT APPLY IF
You are an agency, a studio or a team applying under one name. You intend to
subcontract. You cannot protect a fixed weekly time budget for us. You need a
finished concept before you can start. Your portfolio is mainly meme-style or
discount-led content.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Three to five pieces you edited yourself, one line each on what you were given
and what you made of it. Paid social work beats a showreel.
2. If you have them, two AI statics where the product is real and the environment
is generated. Name the tools and the prompts.
3. Three short answers, three sentences each:
a) How do you get eight genuinely different variants out of one 40-second clip?
b) What is the first thing you do with the brand kit of a brand you do not know?
c) What in your process breaks first if we triple the volume in one month?
4. Your monthly rate and your earliest start date.
5. Put the word Larvikite in your subject line, so we can see you read this.
We reply to everyone who follows these steps.
