JOB OVERVIEW

Hey!

We are looking for a Video Editor ROCKSTAR who will turn our long form content into high-performing short form clips and weekly YouTube videos.

We are a marketing and education company that works with English speakers and already have a team of high-performing individuals from the Philippines. Mastery of the English language is a requirement and will be tested prior to hiring.

BENEFITS INCLUDE:
- 100% remote
- Weekly pay
- USD $6 / Hour = 350 PHP / Hour
- Paid training
- No work during the weekends
- Opportunity to go from part time to full time
- We pay for the AI and creative tools you will use (Adobe, Descript, Opus Clip, Canva Pro)
- Grow with a team that values initiative, speed, and high standards

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Short form (main focus):
- Take long form content (webinars, trainings, YouTube videos, podcasts) and turn it into short form clips for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
- Add attention-grabbing hooks, captions, emojis, B-roll, overlays, and pattern interrupts
- Create short testimonial videos from coaching calls, client interviews, and other raw footage
- Organize and manage video assets so clips are easy to find and reuse

Long form & channel support:
- Edit 1 piece of long form content per week (highlight key ---------- nts, add B-roll, overlays, and graphics)
- Publish that long form video on YouTube (upload, title, description, tags, end screens, cards)
- Create and upload custom YouTube thumbnails that drive clicks
- Handle one-off editing requests as needed (simple promos, clips, intros/outros, etc.)
- Analyze performance of published videos in YouTube Studio (CTR, views, watch time, retention) and provide simple reports and recommendations

Collaboration & cadence:
- Meet once a week with the owner of the company for feedback, direction, and priorities
- Join 1 monthly content planning session with the team
- Use AI tools (that we pay for) to speed up editing, transcription, captioning, and repurposing while still polishing by hand

Expected volume (part-time ~20 hours per week):
- 20–30 finished short form clips per week (30–90 seconds each)
- 1 edited and published long form YouTube video per week
- Ongoing testimonial edits and one-off requests as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Experience & portfolio:
- Proven experience editing short form content from long form videos
- Strong portfolio showing:
Before/after edits from long form to short form
YouTube videos you have edited and thumbnails you have designed
Short testimonial / social proof videos (a plus)

Tool competence (we provide licenses):
You will work daily inside:
- Adobe Premiere Pro (primary editor)
- Basic Adobe After Effects (simple animations, lower thirds, transitions)
- Descript (transcription, rough cuts, repurposing)
- Opus Clip (AI clipping & short-form ideas)
- Canva Pro (YouTube thumbnails & simple graphics)
- YouTube Studio (publishing & analytics)
- Google Drive, Google Docs/Sheets (file management, tracking)
- ClickUp (task management)
- Slack (communication)

You don’t need to be a master of every tool on day one, but you must already be strong in at least one pro editor (Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci) and be able to learn the rest quickly.
Having experience with video editing is a requirement to be considered for this role.
We will ask you what your favorite dog breed is, answer chowchow in your application so we know you have read the full job posting.
We will start with relatively limited hours (around 20 hours per week to begin) with the opportunity for it to grow as our relationship develops.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Mastery of the English language (spoken and written)
- Strong project management skills and ability to hit volume targets consistently
- Comfortable reviewing analytics and making basic performance recommendations
- Quiet environment to work

TECH REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):
- Computer: Windows 10/11 PC or Mac (released within the last 4–5 years)
CPU: Intel i7 / Ryzen 7 / Apple M1 or better (or equivalent)
RAM: Minimum 16 GB (32 GB strongly preferred)
Storage: At least 512 GB SSD, with 150+ GB free for active projects
GPU: Dedicated graphics card with 4 GB VRAM or more (e.g., NVIDIA GTX 1660 / RTX series or equivalent). For Mac, M1/M2 with integrated GPU is fine.

- Software capability:
Must be able to run Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects smoothly while having multiple Chrome tabs, cloud drives, and AI tools (Descript / Opus Clip / etc.) open.

-High Speed Internet: Stable enough for uploading/downloading large video files and live calls without interruption
Reliable backup option (mobile data or secondary ISP) is a plus

- Other:
Quality headphones and microphone for edit reviews and team calls
Quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for focused editing work

If your current setup struggles with Adobe Premiere or AI tools like Descript / Opus Clip, please upgrade first before applying. This role requires fast, reliable hardware to hit our weekly volume targets.

SCHEDULE:
You must be available to work 4 hours per day, following this schedule: 3 PM – 7 PM Philippines time.
