JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor Purpose

The purpose of the Video Editor Role at CustomLove is to process ad briefs from our creative team and bring them to life through the power of video editing.

As a Video Editor, you are responsible for the actual execution & applying the finishing touches on all the video ads we create. Our success as a marketing team will rely on your ability to comprehend each ad concept, strategically put the pieces together, and enhance the overall marketing message with your edits.

You understand that the smallest details can make the biggest differences. So, you take pride in paying immense attention to detail in everything you do as those details can be the difference between an ad that is shown to millions & an ad that is shown to very few.

Your active purpose at CustomLove is to work alongside our Creative strategist to edit & bring to life ad briefs, utilize our creative resources, and help produce winning ads month over month for our clients.

Video Editor Primary Roles

Onboarding:
- Analyze and process brand guidelines for creative purposes

Ongoing:
- Edit 10-15 ad briefs per week
- Upload & organize edited ads into specific folder with the correct resolutions
- Communicate with creative strategist to ensure ad concepts are executed correctly
- Listen & apply feedback from the creative strategist for existing and new ads
- Learn the Ads Strategy to understand what makes “Winning” & “Losing” ad concepts
- Complete weekly 30-minute ad analysis & review on concepts you have created
- AI video generation

Qualifications & Character Traits

Direct Experience Qualifications:
- 1-2 Years of experience in video editing or designing ads
- 1-2 Years of experience in Video Editing tools like CapCut, Adobe
- 1-2 Years of experience editing eCommerce ads
- Working in a team environment & understanding individual roles

- Strong willingness to do the ‘boring’ work required
