Job Title: Video Editor – Movie Breakdown Videos
Type of Work: Part Time (project-based, no minimum hours guarantee)
Rate: $7.50-10 USD/hour (based on experience and speed)

About Us
Shift Creative Media runs multiple YouTube channels focused on movie breakdowns, analysis, and deep dives. We're growing fast and need a skilled, efficient video editor who can deliver quality work quickly.
This is consistent weekly work (2 videos/week) for someone who values efficiency and wants to grow with us long-term.
We don't want slow editors who need hand-holding. We want professionals who can execute.

What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll edit 2 movie breakdown videos per week (12-20 minutes final length each).
We provide:
Voiceover audio (already recorded)
Movie clips and relevant footage
Clear written instructions for each video
Keyword list with timestamps for text pop-ups
You do:
Sync voiceover to footage (timing is critical)
Add keyword text pop-ups at specific ---------- nts
Use provided movie clips as B-roll/filler footage
Ensure smooth pacing and flow
Export final video (1080p minimum)
Track your hours honestly
You are NOT responsible for:
Recording voiceover
Finding your own footage
Writing scripts or creative direction
Thumbnails (separate role)

Requirements
Proficient in CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro
Ability to sync voiceover to footage precisely
Attention to detail on text placement and timing
Reliable internet (you'll download/upload large files)
Good English reading comprehension
Portfolio required (YouTube links preferred)
Honest time tracking
Nice to have:
Experience with YouTube content
Basic understanding of pacing and retention
Dealbreakers:
Inconsistent communication or disappearing for days
Missing deadlines without notice
Taking 10+ hours to edit a 15-minute video with provided assets

Test Task (Paid)
Shortlisted candidates will receive a 2-minute test clip + VO. Complete the edit within 48 hours. Paid $15 upon submission.
This test task helps us verify your speed estimate. If you claim 6 hours but take 12, we'll know.
