Video Editor – Junior & Senior Profiles

We’re looking for Video Editors to join us initially on a contract basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity.
We are open to two very different profiles:

1. Junior / Intermediate Video Editor — little or no professional experience, but creative, curious, and eager to learn and build a portfolio.
2. Senior Video Editor — experienced, technically strong, and able to independently deliver professional-quality work.

Profile 1: Junior / Intermediate Video Editor

You do not need professional video editing experience.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has basic knowledge of video editing using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or similar
* Is creative and has a good eye for visuals
* Understands Instagram, YouTube, Reels, and social content
* Is interested in learning video editing professionally
* Is curious about AI tools and new ways of creating content
* Learns quickly and is willing to figure things out independently
* Takes feedback well
* Is reliable, punctual, and respects deadlines
* Can work independently once the task is explained

You don’t need to know advanced color grading, Fusion, audio post-production, or professional delivery settings yet.
We can teach you the technical skills. We’re looking for creativity, curiosity, and the right attitude.
This is an opportunity to build your portfolio, work on real client projects, learn, and get paid while developing your skills.
Our starting budget for the Junior / Intermediate profile is approximately $200/month, based on the initial scope and experience level.

Profile 2: Senior Video Editor

We’re also looking for someone with approximately 3–4+ years of professional video editing experience who can work independently and consistently deliver high-quality content .

Strong experience with DaVinci Resolve:

* Color correction and grading
* Color spaces and color profiles
* Fusion
* AI transcription
* Audio post-production
* Professional delivery workflows
* Export settings for Instagram and YouTube
or
Strong experience with Adobe Premiere Pro:
* Professional editing workflows
* MOGRT files and titles
* Project and sequence setup
* Color spaces and color profiles
* Audio
* Export and delivery settings
* Instagram and YouTube optimization

We’re looking for someone who understands the technical side inside and out, but also has a strong creative eye and understands pacing, storytelling, hooks, and what makes social content engaging.

For Senior candidates, compensation can be based on an hourly rate or another agreed arrangement based on experience and output.

Initial Scope of Work
The initial workload will be approximately:

* 3–5 videos per day
* Approximately 2–4 hours of work per day
* Primarily Instagram Reels and other short-form content
* Some longer YouTube videos, generally up to approximately 3 minutes

The client will provide the primary video content.
There may occasionally be a need to use Storyblocks or another stock-footage provider for additional footage.
The engagement will start as a contract, with an opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right person.

We offer full flexibility in your working hours. We don’t care whether you work early in the morning, late at night, or organize your day around other commitments.
What we care about is that the work gets done, deadlines are respected, and the quality is there.

You need to be able to self-manage your time and your work. We don’t have the time or desire to constantly check what you’re doing, how many hours you’re working, or whether every task has been completed correctly.
Our working relationship is based primarily on trust and ownership.
We trust you to manage your time, check your own work before delivery, communicate when there is a problem, and deliver what you committed to.

In return, you get a high level of independence and flexibility.

You will also need to:

* Attend scheduled weekly check-in meetings
* Be available through WhatsApp or another communication app when important client or delivery questions come up
* Communicate clearly if something will affect a deadline
* Take ownership of your work and quality
* Be punctual and respect other people’s time

For Junior candidates, these don’t need to be professional projects. Personal projects, school work, Instagram/TikTok/Reels, YouTube videos, or anything you’ve created is completely fine.

We’re not necessarily looking for the person with the longest résumé. We’re looking for someone creative, dependable, self-managed, and interested in growing with us.

I especially like the “we don’t care when you work; we care that the work gets done” positioning for this role. It makes the flexibility attractive while being very clear that you don’t want to manage someone day-to-day.
