JOB OVERVIEW

Hi, we're Real Mad Honey. We sell rare honey from the Himalayas and Turkey that actually does something you can feel. Our Meta ads run across the US, UK and EU, and we're scaling hard in 2026. That means we need more creative, faster, without the quality dropping.
That's where you come in.

Who you'll work with:
You'll be reporting directly to our Creative Strategist. They own the creative direction, the briefs, the angles, the hooks, and the testing roadmap. Your job is to take their briefs and turn them into finished ads and assets. You'll have a clear brief for every piece of work, regular feedback loops, and a direct line to ask questions when something isn't clear. If you've worked in a setup where the strategist and the editor push each other to make the work sharper, you'll feel at home.

What you'll actually be doing day to day:
Most of your week is editing ad videos. Think UGC creators filming selfie-style, vox pop / street interview footage , and VSL-style longer explainer videos. The Creative Strategist will hand you raw footage, scripts and briefs. You turn it into scroll-stopping ads with clean subtitles, good pacing, sound design that doesn't overwhelm, and hooks that earn the first three seconds.
On top of that, you'll design statics. Ad statics first, then occasional website visuals and landing page sections. Figma is our tool. If you already think in components and design tokens, even better.
You'll also build organic assets for our social channels. Reels edits, carousel posts, story templates. The organic stuff doesn't have to sell, it has to feel like the brand.

The AI part is not optional:
Honestly, this is the thing that separates the editors we want from the ones we don't. We use AI throughout the workflow. Claude for scripting, copy, ideation, briefing. AI tools for transcription, subtitle generation, rough cuts, upscaling, voice cleanup, background removal, thumbnail variants, image generation for moodboards and concepts. If you can cut a 30-second UGC ad in 45 minutes instead of 3 hours because you know which AI tools to stack, you'll do great here. If AI tools scare you or you're still doing everything manually in 2026, this role will frustrate you.

The systems we use:
Trello for task management and deliverable tracking. Claude AI for briefs, scripts, brainstorms, copy. Figma for design. For editing, we work in the Adobe suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), so strong Adobe skills are important. If you also use CapCut Pro or DaVinci for certain cuts, that's fine as long as the output is clean and deliverables come back in the right format. Google Drive for asset handoff.

What we need from you as a person:
Communication is honestly half the job. If a deadline is going to slip, we want to know on day one, not day four. If a brief from the strategist is unclear, ask. If you think the script is weak, say so. We'd rather push back on a brief than receive a polished ad that misses.
You'll be writing Trello updates, commenting on review links, jumping on the occasional Loom with the Creative Strategist, and responding to Slack-style messages during overlap hours. You don't need perfect English but you need to be clear, direct, and reliable. "Done by Friday" has to mean done by Friday.

Who this role is for:
Someone who's been editing performance ads for DTC brands for at least 2 to 3 years. You've seen UGC. You've seen vox pop. You've cut VSLs. You understand that an ad is not a film, it's a sales pitch with 3 seconds to land. You're fluent in Adobe Premiere and ideally comfortable in After Effects for motion graphics and text animations. You've used Figma seriously, not just opened it once. You've integrated AI into your pipeline because you care about speed without losing taste.

Who this role is not for:
Editors who take three days to turn around a simple ad cut. People who wait to be told exactly what to do. Designers who make beautiful work that doesn't convert. Anyone who needs hand-holding on Trello tickets or forgets to respond for two days.

The work schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week. We're based in Europe so ideally you can overlap 3 to 4 hours with CET working hours. The rest is async.

How to apply:
Send us three things.
- First, your portfolio. We want to see ad videos you've edited (UGC, vox pop, VSL if you have them) and static ads you've designed. If it's behind a password, include it.

- Second, a short Loom (2 to 4 minutes) where you walk us through one ad you're proud of. Tell us why you made the choices you made. We care more about your thinking than your reel.

-Third, tell us which AI tools you actually use in your workflow and what you use them for. One paragraph is fine. If you just say "ChatGPT" we'll know.

Looking forward to seeing your work.
