About Oodleway

Oodleway helps Cavoodle owners raise happy, well-adjusted dogs through practical, breed-specific training and education.

We create educational content, podcast episodes, customer testimonials and video content featuring our founder, Tiana. We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Video Editor & Content Repurposing VA who can help us get more value from the content we already produce.

You'll work with our existing raw footage, podcast recordings and educational material to create engaging videos, repurpose content across multiple platforms and help prepare everything for publishing.

We're looking for someone who can work independently, identify good content opportunities and take initiative, rather than simply completing tasks we're required to outline in detail.

What You'll Do

1. Short-Form Video Editing

- Turn raw footage into engaging Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts.
- Edit talking-head videos, educational tips, puppy training footage, customer testimonials and behind-the-scenes content.
- Add music, B-roll, text overlays and simple graphics where appropriate.
- Create engaging hooks and maintain a strong pace to keep viewers watching.
- Suggest creative improvements and new content ideas based on the footage provided.

2. Podcast Editing & Repurposing

- Edit full podcast episodes recorded in Descript, preparing polished episodes ready for publishing.
- Identify and extract interesting, educational or entertaining moments from longer recordings to create multiple short-form video clips.
- Repurpose podcast episodes into YouTube videos, including preparing the finished video for upload.
- Identify strong clip opportunities and suggest timestamps, hooks and titles.
- Help organise podcast files and prepare episodes for publishing through Kajabi.
- Ensure content is polished, consistent and ready for its intended platform.

3. Written Content & Content Repurposing

- Turn podcast episodes and recordings into written blog posts for Kajabi.
- Repurpose podcast discussions into articles suitable for Substack.
- Transform long-form content into shorter pieces for social media and other platforms.
- Draft social media captions to accompany videos and other content.
- Suggest headlines, hooks and titles that capture attention and communicate the value of our content.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to speed up transcription, drafting and content repurposing, while ensuring the final output is accurate, natural and useful.

**Note:** Social media captions will be reviewed and edited by our founder before publishing. You'll be responsible for preparing the initial drafts.

4. Paid Advertising Creatives

- Edit customer testimonial videos into compelling ads.
- Turn raw footage into promotional videos for our Cavoodle Training Academy and other Oodleway products.
- Create variations of successful ads, testing different opening hooks and creative approaches.
- Include appropriate text overlays and clear calls to action.
- Help communicate the value of our products through engaging video content.
- Suggest new advertising angles and creative opportunities based on the footage available.

5. Content Organisation & Publishing Support

- Organise raw footage, project files, podcast recordings and completed content in Google Drive.
- Prepare final videos in the correct formats for each platform.
- Upload and prepare podcast episodes and associated content through Kajabi.
- Help format and prepare blog posts and articles for publishing on Kajabi and Substack.
- Maintain an organised workflow so content can be reviewed, approved and published efficiently.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience editing short-form videos for social media and/or paid advertising.
- A portfolio showing examples of Reels, podcast clips, testimonials or video ads you've personally edited.
- Experience editing longer videos or podcasts is highly desirable.
- Strong English comprehension and the ability to draft natural-sounding written content.
- Experience repurposing podcasts, videos or long-form content into articles, blog posts or social media content.
- Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Descript or similar editing software.
- Familiarity with AI tools for video editing, transcription, content creation and repurposing.
- Experience with YouTube, Kajabi and/or Substack is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management.
- Someone proactive who can identify good content, make creative decisions and work independently.
- An interest in dogs, pet content or animal training would be a bonus.

We're not looking for someone who simply adds subtitles to videos.We want someone who can recognise good content, make creative decisions and help us turn existing footage and recordings into a range of valuable content with minimal supervision.

How the Role Will Work

We'll provide raw footage, podcast recordings, brand references, examples of content we like and information about our products and audience.

You'll be responsible for editing videos and podcast episodes, identifying content opportunities, drafting written content and preparing assets for publishing.

We'll start with a weekly workload of approximately **6–8 hours**, with the possibility of increasing hours as our content production grows.

This is an ongoing opportunity for someone who produces quality work, communicates well and can become a trusted part of our team.
