JOB OVERVIEW

We're hiring a video editor who can produce polished, high-retention long-form YouTube content for founder-led channels. You'll be working on business, entrepreneurship, AI, finance, fitness, and adjacent niches — real people, on camera, with something to teach.

This isn't stock-footage documentary work. This is personal brand content where the founder's energy, credibility, and story have to come through in the edit. Your cuts need to carry the viewer forward, not just trim silence.

What You'll Be Editing:

Study these before you apply. This is the caliber and style of content you'll be working on:

These aren't templates to copy. They're benchmarks for pacing, energy, and production quality. Understand what makes them hold attention.

What You'll Do:

Cut long-form YouTube videos (10–25 minutes) from raw talking-head footage
Add B-roll, screen recordings, and relevant stock footage to support the spoken content
Build text overlays, kinetic typography, and motion graphics that reinforce key points without cluttering the frame
Maintain clean, fast pacing — no dead air, no wandering mid-sentence
Create reusable intro/outro sequences that match each client's brand
Export multiple formats when needed (long-form + short-form clips for Shorts/TikTok)
Deliver on deadline, every time, with organized file handoffs

What Good Looks Like:

The first 30–60 seconds never gives a viewer a reason to leave
Cuts feel intentional, not mechanical — you're reading the energy of the speaker, not just removing pauses
B-roll is selected to add meaning, not just fill space
Text appears when it reinforces, not when it repeats
Pacing accelerates through dense content and breathes in the right moments
Final export is upload-ready with no notes needed on color, audio, or framing

Requirements

2+ years editing long-form YouTube content (10+ minutes) — not short-form, not corporate, not wedding video
Demonstrated experience with talking-head / personal brand content in business, finance, fitness, or similar niches
Strong command of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Able to make creative decisions from a brief without constant direction
Fast turnaround with no excuses — we publish on a schedule and late is not an option
Organized file management and clear communication throughout the process
Nice to Have

Experience on channels with 50k+ subscribers
Ability to cut short-form clips from long-form footage (Shorts/Reels/TikTok)
Familiarity with what retention graphs actually tell you about an edit
Experience with AI-assisted editing tools (auto-captions, noise removal, silence detection)
Ability to concept or source thumbnails

Compensation:

Per-video rate based on length and complexity. Details discussed during the hiring process. Strong performers can expect consistent, growing volume.

How to Apply

Please Send The Following:

3 examples of your best long-form YouTube edits (links, not files). At least one should be business or entrepreneurship content.
One paragraph describing how you approached one of those edits — what decisions you made and why.
Your rate per video for a 15–20 minute talking-head edit.

Applications without all three will not be reviewed.

One honest note: We move fast and hold a high standard. If you're looking for passive, low-feedback work, this isn't the right fit. If you're someone who actually watches the final product, cares about retention, and wants to build something alongside a growing operation — we want to talk. is this good
