JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor for YouTube Tutorials

I am looking for a creative and reliable video editor with experience editing engaging YouTube videos and tutorials.

The person should be able to:

• Edit raw video and audio into clear, polished videos
• Remove mistakes, pauses and unnecessary sections
• Improve pacing and keep the content engaging
• Add titles, subtitles, transitions and background music
• Include screenshots, screen recordings and visual explanations
• Add funny GIFs, memes or small visual moments where appropriate
• Improve audio quality and balance volume levels
• Apply consistent colours, fonts and branding
• Export videos in the correct format and quality for YouTube

Creativity is important. I do not want someone who only follows technical instructions. The editor should bring their own ideas and suggest visual elements, GIFs, effects or editing choices that make the videos more entertaining without distracting from the educational content.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing
• A portfolio with previous video projects
• Fluent English
• Strong attention to detail
• Good understanding of YouTube content and viewer engagement
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate reliably
• Experience with editing software such as Camtasia, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (any software that you are comfortable with using. Its up to you.

The ideal person understands how to make educational content clear, professional and enjoyable to watch.
