JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor — AI & Traditional Editing (Remote, US Pacific Hours)
We make prevailing wage compliance manageable for contractors — covering both California prevailing wage and federal Davis-Bacon requirements. Compliance is dense, technical work, and video is how we make it clear: for our own staff and for the contractors we want to reach. We need a video editor who can do both.

What you'll do:

Create training videos that teach our staff compliance workflows — certified payroll, eCPR uploads, wage determinations, public works documentation.
Produce marketing videos that win new clients — explainers, case studies, social ads.
Combine AI tools (script-to-video, AI voiceover, auto-captions, generative b-roll) with traditional craft: pacing, color, audio mixing, motion graphics.
Experience with Grok, Seedance, wan preferred
Own projects end to end: brief, rough cut, revisions, final delivery.

What you need:

A portfolio of finished work. Applications without one will not be considered. Training or explainer samples are a strong plus.
Fluent or better English, spoken and written.
Availability during US Pacific working hours, reliably.
Real proficiency in a professional editor (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut) plus hands-on experience with AI video tools (Descript, Runway, Synthesia, or similar).
Accuracy and deadlines matter here — our subject matter is regulatory, and a wrong number on screen is worse than no video.
Nice to have: B2B, legal, construction, or compliance experience; comfort turning dense source material into simple scripts.
