JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented, reliable Video Editor to turn our video podcasts into polished, professional long-form episodes and engaging short-form social media content.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both podcast storytelling and the fast-paced editing style needed for high-performing Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other social content.
About the Role

You will edit video podcast episodes from raw footage into complete, polished productions. This includes creating compelling hooks, intros and outros, lower thirds, motion graphics, captions, transitions, B-roll, sound design, and other visual elements that make the content professional and enjoyable to watch.

You will also identify the strongest moments from each podcast and turn them into short, engaging video clips designed for social media. In addition to podcast content, you may be asked to edit other videos such as promotional content, educational videos, interviews, ads, and behind-the-scenes content.

Key Responsibilities:
Edit full-length video podcast episodes into polished, professional productions.
Create strong opening hooks that retain viewer attention.
Add branded intros, outros, lower thirds, titles, captions, transitions, and graphics.
Source and incorporate relevant B-roll, stock footage, sound effects, music, and visual assets where appropriate.
Improve audio quality, pacing, colour, framing, and overall production value.
Create engaging short-form clips from podcast episodes for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Edit reels with dynamic captions, punch-ins, motion graphics, visual effects, B-roll, and strong pacing.
Help identify podcast moments with strong potential for social reach and audience engagement.
Edit other marketing and content videos as needed.
Organise project files and deliver exports in the correct formats, sizes, and aspect ratios.
Work from brand guidelines and incorporate feedback efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience editing podcasts, interviews, talking-head videos, or social-media content.
Strong understanding of short-form video formats and viewer-retention techniques.
Ability to create visually engaging content without making it feel over-edited or distracting.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar professional editing software.
Strong skills in captions, motion graphics, lower thirds, transitions, sound design, and colour correction.
Ability to source appropriate B-roll, graphics, music, and stock footage.
Excellent attention to detail, especially with audio syncing, subtitles, spelling, branding, and pacing.
Good English communication skills and the ability to understand feedback clearly.
Reliable turnaround times and strong file/project organisation.
Ability to work independently while proactively suggesting creative ideas.

Nice to Have:

Experience editing content for entrepreneurs, business owners, coaches, creators, or personal brands.
Basic graphic design or motion-graphics skills.
Experience creating thumbnails, quote graphics, or simple social-media assets.
Familiarity with YouTube optimisation and social-media trends.
Experience using tools such as Descript, ---------- , Canva, Epidemic Sound, Artlist, Motion Array, or similar platforms.
