Post 1: Video Editor (Short Form, Pet Brand)

Title: Video Editor for US Pet Food Brand — Short Form Social (Long Term)

Type: Part-time to start, 20 hrs/week, moving to full-time based on output

About us
Winnie Lou The Canine Company is a pet food and treat brand in Boulder, Colorado. We make everything ourselves. Our products are sold online and in about 1,000 pet stores across the US. We need someone to turn our existing footage, customer content, and product clips into video we can post.

What you will do
Edit short form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Cut 8 to 12 finished videos per week
Add captions, text overlays, music, and simple sound design
Repurpose customer and creator content into branded edits
Cut one piece of footage into multiple different videos with different hooks
Edit product videos for our website and Amazon listings
Build simple graphics-driven videos when there is no footage, using stills, text, and product shots
Keep files organized in Google Drive with clear naming
Follow our brand look for fonts, colors, and pacing

What we need from you
2+ years editing short form social video, with a portfolio
Strong sense of pacing. You know when a cut is a half second too long
Good written English. You will be writing on-screen text and captions
Ability to make something watchable out of limited source material
Reliable internet and the ability to download and upload large files
You watch a lot of short form video and can tell us what is working right now

Nice to have
Motion graphics, After Effects
Experience with pet, food, or CPG brands
You like animals
