JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor who can work quickly without compromising quality. You’ll be responsible for turning raw footage and creative briefs into engaging, polished videos that tell a story, drive engagement, and represent our brand at the highest level.

You should be confident in end-to-end editing, able to create motion graphics, and willing to think outside the box, bringing fresh ideas, dynamic pacing, and visual flair to every project.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit a wide variety of video content (e.g., brand videos, social media content, ads, explainers, testimonials, product videos, YouTube content) from concept to final delivery.
- Translate briefs, scripts, and storyboards into compelling visual narratives.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, animated titles, lower thirds, transitions, and simple 2D animations, and mixing AI generated content seamlessly
- Enhance videos with sound design, music selection, and basic audio mixing.
- Colour correct and colour grade footage to ensure consistency and a premium look.
- Collaborate with the creative/marketing team
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Adapt edits for different formats and platforms (16:9, 9:16, 1:1; YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Organise and manage media assets, project files, and exports using a clear and efficient workflow.
- Stay current with editing trends, motion design styles, AI platforms and platform-specific best practices, and proactively bring new ideas to the table.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in an agency, production company, or in-house creative/marketing team.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one major editing suite:
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong motion graphics skills using:
- Adobe After Effects (or equivalent motion graphics software).
- Proven ability to:
- Cut fast-paced, engaging edits.
- Craft narrative-driven, emotionally resonant stories from raw footage.
- Work from rough briefs and add creative direction where needed.
- Strong understanding of:
- Pacing, rhythm, and storytelling.
- Visual composition and framing.
- Basic sound design and audio mixing.
- A portfolio/showreel demonstrating:
- High-quality edits.
- Use of motion graphics.
- Variety of styles and formats.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under time pressure, without losing attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to take feedback, ask clarifying questions, and contribute ideas.
- Strong organisational skills, including file management, version control, and clear project naming.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience creating content specifically for social platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) with an understanding of what drives engagement.
- Basic illustration or design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma).
- Experience with 3D tools (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus but not essential.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and maintaining a consistent visual identity across multiple videos.
- Experience with scripting, storyboarding, or creative direction.
