Premium Video Editor & Content Creator:
We are an established premium golf accessories company experiencing significant growth and expanding our content marketing efforts. We are looking for a talented video editor who understands how to create content that communicates craftsmanship, quality, attention to detail, and clearly shows the product characteristics to potential customers. This is not a position for someone who simply adds transitions and effects. We are looking for someone who can create content that feels intentional, refined, and premium.
Our products are built using premium materials including leather, waxed canvas, hardwoods, brass, and stainless steel. Every product is designed with craftsmanship in mind, and our content should reflect that same standard. Golf knowledge is a plus, but it is not required. We can teach golf. What we cannot teach is a genuine appreciation for quality storytelling, thoughtful editing, and attention to detail.
This position has the potential to become a long-term role with a growing company.
What You Will Do:
Edit Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
Edit longer-form YouTube videos
Perform color correction and color grading
Improve audio quality
Organize project files
Help develop content ideas
Plan upcoming shoots
Create detailed shot lists before filming
Identify additional footage that should be captured
We are looking for someone who enjoys improving the creative process, not simply editing clips after they are recorded.
Equipment We Use:
Sony A6700 camera
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens
DJI RS 4 Mini gimbal
DJI Mic 2 wireless microphones
DJI Mavic Air 2 drone
DJI Osmo Mobile 6
iPhone 16
Adobe Creative Cloud
Canva
Professional LED photography lighting
The Person We Are Looking For:
Technical ability is important. Character is even more important.
Enthusiastic about creating premium content
Patient and willing to build an efficient workflow together
Organized and detail oriented
Honest and dependable
Comfortable asking questions
Strong communicator
Open to constructive feedback
Committed to continual learning
This is the first time we have hired someone specifically for this role, so patience and collaboration are extremely important as we develop our creative process together. There will be a 30, 60 and 90 day meeting with the owner of the company to discuss strengths as well as areas for improvement.
Planning Matters:
Before every shoot, we expect you to think through exactly what footage will be needed. You should be comfortable creating detailed shot lists, recommending camera angles, suggesting movement, identifying missing footage, and communicating exactly what should be captured before filming begins. Types of details could include:
We need another close-up.
This should be filmed during golden hour.
We need a slow-motion version.
We should capture this from a lower angle.
Great content begins long before editing starts.
Editing Style:
Premium
Timeless
Clean
Cinematic
Authentic
Intentional
Avoid unnecessary transitions, distracting effects, and graphics that take attention away from the product. Every edit should have a purpose.
Software Experience:
Adobe Premiere Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Final Cut Pro
Experience with Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, or After Effects is a bonus but not required.
Communication:
We believe the best creative work comes from open communication. We value people who communicate clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and explain their creative decisions.
Hiring Process:
Every finalist will complete a paid video editing test using raw footage before a hiring decision is made. We are evaluating creativity, communication, attention to detail, organization, and your ability to create a premium feel.
How to Apply:
A short introduction
Your portfolio
Examples of product or lifestyle videos
Examples of Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
Your primary editing software
Your internet speed
Your weekly availability
Your hourly rate
Attention to detail is one of the qualities we value most. Please include the phrase: Premium Matters, in your application.
Answer this question in one or two sentences:
What is one small detail that separates a premium brand from an average brand?
Applications that do not include the phrase "Premium Matters" will not be considered.
Conclusion:
We are looking for someone who wants to help build something special over the long term, not someone who is simply searching for their next editing project. We are committed to growth, improvement and quality. We are looking for a person that feels the same.
Thank you for your time and consideration
